📣 Crevalcore commemorates the 19-year-old victims of the Bolognina train disaster | January 7, 2024 from 10.00 to 11.00
👉🏻 On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the railway disaster in Crevalcore, the Municipal Administration remembers the 17 victims who lost their lives then establishing an Honor Committee.
🇮🇹 Important institutional civil and religious personalities from the Bolognese and Emilian-Romagnian community have joined this Committee, also in order to demonstrate and express their solidarity and support towards the families of the victims.
The ceremony takes place over two times, on Sunday, January 7, 2024:
📆 at 10.00, at the Archipretal Church of San Silvestro, in via Matteotti in Crevalcore will take place the celebration in suffrage of the Victims officiated by Don Massimiliano Gazzetti, Vicar General of the City of Modena;
📆 at 11.00, at the park "7 January 2005" in Bolognina di Crevalcore, flowers will be laid to the Cippo dedicated to the victims.
🤝 The initiatives are sponsored by Region Emilia-Romagna, Metropolitan City of Bologna and Municipality of Bologna.
🗣️ “We intend to continue honouring – says Mayor Marco Martelli – the commitments made in the moments after the disaster, collaborating and supporting more and more actions aimed at increasing safety in sustainable and intermodal mobility, i.e. train and bicycle. From that immense tragedy, thanks to the multiple wills of the administrators of the time, besides doubling the railway, the Cyclovia del Sole was born. A beautiful bet that we want to keep supporting. ”
