Seo Kang Joon will return to the small screen with a new comedy action drama!

On June 10, MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Undercover High School” (working title) confirmed that Seo Kang Joon will star in the drama.

“Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama about a man who goes undercover as a high school student while hiding his identity as an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). As he navigates school life, he builds solidarity and bonds with his classmates. The drama is penned by Im Young Bin of “Bad Prosecutor” and marks Seo Kang Joon’s first return project after being discharged from the military in May of last year.

Seo Kang Joon takes on the role of Jung Hae Sung, an ace field agent of NIS who gets demoted after causing a major issue during an operation. In a new operation, Jung Hae Sung disguises himself as a high school student to infiltrate a high school that has relation to Emperor Gojong’s gold bullion, and there, he ends up enjoying a high school life like no other.

Jin Ki Joo and Kim Min Ju are reportedly in talks to star in the drama. “Undercover High School” is scheduled to air on MBC as a Friday-Saturday drama in 2025.

ENA’s upcoming romance drama “To My Haeri” (literal title) has confirmed its broadcast plans!

“To My Haeri” is a healing romance drama that revolves around Joo Eun Ho (Shin Hye Sun), an anchor who develops dissociative identity disorder (Haeri means dissociation in Korean) following the disappearance of her younger sibling and her breakup with her longtime boyfriend Hyun Oh (Lee Jin Wook). The drama is penned by Han Ga Ram, acclaimed for her previous projects such as “I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice” and “Han Yeo Reum’s Memory.”

Shin Hye Sun plays dual roles as Joo Eun Ho, an unknown anchor with 14 years of experience who struggles to make her name known, and Joo Hye Ri, a parking attendant with an extremely positive mindset.

Lee Jin Wook takes on the role of Joo Eun Ho’s ex-boyfirend Jung Hyun Oh, who became a star anchor as soon as he joined the company unlike his ex-girlfriend Joo Eun Ho. As he is kind and generous to everyone except Joo Eun Ho, he often clashes with her. Jung Hyun Oh leaves a deep wound to Joo Eun Ho by breaking up with her after a long-term relationship.

Kang D**g Won will be taking on the role of the mysterious figure San Ho, a former top-tier international mercenary whose nationality and past are all hidden behind a veil. On June 4, industry insiders reported that Lee D**g Wook received an offer to star in the new drama “Divorce Insurance” (literal title).

New film “Pavane” (literal title) has shared photos from its script reading following the start of filming on May 8!

Based on the best-selling novel “Pavane For a Dead Princess” by Park Min Gyu and helmed by Lee Jong Pil of “Samjin Company English Class” and “The Sound of a Flower,” the movie tells the story of three young adults struggling to love themselves who later find solace in each other’s company as they confront their lives and love.

Go Ah Sung will take on the role of Mi Jung, a department store employee, who shields herself from the world due to the uncomfortable stares she receives because of her melancholic facial expression.

Byun Yo Han will portray Yo Han, a free-spirited individual who indulges in rock music and classic romance dramas while working at the department store parking lot.

Moon Sang Min will make his big screen debut as Kyung Rok, who encounters Mi Jung and finds himself developing feelings for her while working part-time at the department store after having abandoned his dreams for a different career path.

The upcoming film “Wonderland” has shared a glimpse of its prop photos!

“Wonderland” tells the story of people who use the Wonderland service, which allows users to reunite with their deceased loved ones through video call by reconstructing them through artificial intelligence. The star-studded cast consists of Tang Wei, Suzy, Park Bo Gum, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik.

Newly released props from the film feature photos of the couple Jung In (Suzy) and Tae Joo (Park Bo Gum), capturing attention with their past moments. These photos are among several decorating Jung In’s home in the movie.

The photos capture the sweet chemistry between Jung In and Tae Joo, who are shown as a couple dressed in matching flight attendant uniforms. They are affectionately touching cheeks and gazing lovingly at each other, heightening viewers’ excitement.

The images hint at their happy past before Tae Joo falls into a coma due to an unexpected accident, evoking both tenderness and sadness.

On April 29, ENA confirmed that Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook will headline its upcoming drama “To My Haeri” (literal title).

“To My Haeri” is a healing romance drama that revolves around Joo Eun Ho, an announcer who develops dissociative identity disorder (Haeri means dissociation in Korean) following the disappearance of her younger sibling and her breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Hyun Oh.

The drama is penned by Han Ga Ram, acclaimed for her previous works such as “I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice” and “Han Yeo Reum’s Memory.”

BYUN WOO SEOK Confirmed To Guest On "Running Man"

“Lovely Runner” star Byeon Woo Seok will be meeting the “Running Man” crew!

On April 29, News1 reported that Byeon Woo Seok will be participating in the April 29 filming for SBS’s popular variety show “Running Man” as a guest.

In response to the report, a representative of “Running Man” confirmed that he will participate in the filming that day.

Byeon Woo Seok previously appeared on the show in May 2022 and is returning as a guest for the first time in about two years. The actor is currently starring in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Lovely Runner” as top star Ryu Sun Jae.

Based on a popular web novel and penned by “True Beauty” writer Lee Si Eun, “Lovely Runner” is a time-slip romance drama that asks the question: “What would you do if you had the opportunity to save your ultimate bias?” Kim Hye Yoon stars as Im Sol, a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), who goes back in time to save him.

Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo will be starring in a new drama together!

On April 29, it was officially announced that Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo will star in the new drama “Project Y” (working title).

“Project Y” is a noir drama set in Seoul’s Gangnam district that follows the daring ambition of two friends of the same age to steal 8 billion won (approximately $5.8 million) worth of gold bars and vanish without a trace.

Notably, Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo, who share the same age in real life, are expected to also showcase their chemistry and womance in their roles as same-age friends in the series.

The series will be helmed by director Lee Hwan, known for igniting fervent discussions within the Korean film industry with his bold themes and dynamic directorial approach in films like “Park Hwa Young” and “Young Adult Matters.”
