Although the Lunar New Year starts on February 10th, 2024, the Yang Wood Dragon arrives on February 4th, barely two weeks after Pluto settles into Aquarius for most of 2024. Come find out what the Yang Wood Dragon holds in store in tandem with some of the major outer planetary transits for 2024.

Jennifer Ng provides horary, forecasting, and synastry consultations using both Eastern and Western astrology. She holds horary and medical STA certificates, teaches Four Pillars (八字 Ba’Zi) at The International Academy of Astrology, and practices Feng Shui (風水) from the Yellow Hat Sect that is widely practiced in East Asia. She has a passion for cultural history, environmental justice and over 20 years of experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

She lives in T’karanto/Toronto, traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, under the Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties of Canada.

VESTA AND YOUR NATIVE AMERICAN FAMILY ROOTS

Research which started over 20 years ago has revealed an unexpected conclusion that the asteroid Vesta, in particular combinations in the chart, points to connections, especially family bloodline-connections and roots of the Native American Indians. Further research expanded the definition to connections with Indigenous people in general.

In this webinar we will see how the idea behind it evolved, as well as many chart examples to make the case. The techniques used are the Uranian 90° Dial and Midpoints – which enable us, through precision work, to uncover these surprising connections.

Meira Epstein, C.A., NCGR-PAA, has been a professional practicing astrologer since the early 80’s. She is on the New York NCGR Faculty, and the creator and teacher of the NCGR Online Education program, preparing students for all four levels the PAA certification Program, including math & astronomy. Board Member of NCGR-PAA, closely involved with converting the certification exams program into online mode, as well as revising and upgrading the standards. Speaker at national & international conferences. Meira maintains a private-clients and student practice. Additional specialties: Hellenistic/classical astrology, and the Uranian System. Publications: Translations of the Medieval Hebrew astrology texts of Abraham Ibn Ezra (Amazon). Meira’s extensive knowledge of her Jewish tradition allows her to explore historical Jewish Mysticism and the role of astrology in it. Meira has translated the classical mystical work Sefer Yetsirah – The Book of Formation, into English (Amazon). Her articles have been published in the US & Europe. Meira also had an extended parallel IT career as a computer programmer-analyst. She served as a Technical Director on the NCGR Board for 4 years, overseeing and leading the development of the NCGR computer system.

ANS Managing Editor Ed Snow writes about a handful of the many topics covered in Kyosti Tarvainen and Raimo Nikula’s new (2020) book. No previous knowledge of astrology is required to read the book. If you want to become more deeply familiar with astrology, the book provides an excellent orientation to the subject. Kyosti has published 15 major statistical studies on astrology in the peer-reviewed journal Correlation. The book is therefore also interesting for astrologers, as it contains information on new useful research results on the working of astrological factors.

When professional sceptics resort to trickster science to debunk astrology, truth, science, and astrology all are compromised.

So argues a new pilot video, How Sceptics Distort the Truth About Astrology, which launches a series of original You Tube videos for the Astrology News Service (ANS) website.

ANS Managing Editor Edward Snow said, first up in the educational series is an interview with Correlation Journal Editor Robert Currey. In the video, Currey addresses the disingenuous motives of astrology’s hardcore critics and describes some of the dubious methods that have been used to debunk astrology, such as the p-hacking and data butchery, strategies described in the pilot video.

“ANS is supported by leading astrological organizations in the USA and UK and is committed to helping the public better understand the truth about astrology. An ongoing goal has the service focused on issues related to credulity and astrology’s most convincing truth claims.” Snow said.

In the video, Currey stresses the value of evidence-based research that is helping to transport astrology from pseudoscience to a protoscience. The protoscience label suggests movement away from animus and towards acceptance based on more science-friendly processes.

The Astrology News Service (ANS) was created as an online news service in 2011 and incorporated as a not-for-profit company a few years later. The new You Tube series is being produced and hosted by South African astrologer and business consultant Richelle Steyn.
