We were so happy to have had the opportunity to meet Echo at Ethnografilm, Paris. Echo is a young director who's made some very impactful short films, and we signed on half a year ago to help bring her newest project to life.

FIGHTING BACK is a timely and urgent documentary that sheds light on anti-Asian hate crimes and celebrates the empowerment of Asian women. It follows Jessica Ng, a first-generation Hong Kong Chinese American and internationally recognized Muay Thai fighter and instructor. The film documents how her self-defense classes empower Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women and girls during an alarming rise of Anti-Asian hate crimes in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's time to say goodbye to SOLDIER. My documentary about Daniel Krugthat screened in 30 theaters across the world and won 8 awards during its film fest run is now LIVE at the top of its GoFundMe page right here: www.SOLDIERdocumentary.com.

Anyone can pay what they'd like to support the film and its mission, but make no mistake: it's FREE and accessible to all. Let the world know!

SOLDIER is an that received no grant support. I was literally told by one organization that the subject was "too controversial" to fund. So, I made it myself. I had the help of a number of friends and partners too numerous to list here... but they're all in the credits. We started during COVID with no available vaccines, determining set protocol, safe distances, crew ease. We shot 50 hours of b-roll and 8 hours of interviews. I cut a film that was exactly 22 minutes long, 22 being the average number of servicefolks who take their own lives every day in this country.

My team made something out of nothing, because the most important films of my life are the films no one wants me to make. And now I'm giving SOLDIER away. It gets to be what it wants to be.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I'll see you out there.
