I’m not a beginner in doing magazines, but this time it seems as if all entities are are against it. Yes, it’s a slow progress, frustrating at times, but in the end, this magazine will hit you like a ton of bricks. Fighting all forces that are against it on one hand, seeing something getting created on the other. Fight the man, do what you can, win at the end! Thanks for your trust and patience! ❤️🍻♠️⚡️ 🏍️ 📸

Today another introduction of a member of the This is Now collective. The very talented Fabien Caudy. Give the man a follow! (fun fact: These photos are made by Amaury Cibot whom we introduced yesterday.)

-My name is Fabien Caudy ( on Instagram) I am 37 years old and I live in Biarritz in the South West of France. I have been a photographer for three years but I prefer to say that I have always been an artist. I have been shooting with film for 2 years because I couldn't get the feeling with digital cameras, it's too sanitized for me, having so much assistance to take a photo, having to use filters that in the end you don't even take the time to compose your photo or look through the viewfinder to see what's going on. Film photography is more personal for me, lighting errors can often become nice surprises, bad framing gives dynamics to a photo. I started photography not on the advice of photographers but with those of photo technicians as I call them. They explain that a photo must have a good exposure, that it must be well framed, without defects, but I have always found it very boring because I did not feel anything when I looked at their pictures. So I decided to free myself from all these codes and turn to other artists who made photography more alive in my eyes. Today I like to shoot atypical characters, girls who have something very melancholic in their attitudes, bikers, skaters, tattoo culture too, everything that is or has been on the margins of society and that reminds me of freedom.

Let’s start with introducing the people behind the new ‘This is Now!’ collective. The people who live the live, know what they’re talking about, and know how to capture that in a unique way. Today

- Amaury is a 40-year-old photojournalist based in Paris with a decade of experience in the profession. He lives with his girlfriend and two children.

His passion for photography began in his youth when he purchased a small digital camera to capture the wild moments he shared with his friends during their drunken nights. Looking back, Amaury realized that his interest in photojournalism had been budding since he was 18.

Despite this, he spent ten years working in unfulfilling jobs in various companies before returning to photography. He was fortunate enough to work with the famous photographer Yan Morvan, the father of his best friend, and they formed a close bond.

Amaury was fascinated by the Chopper movement and the way individuals from all walks of life were creating their own bikes with an ultra-radical style that focused on the essentials. He wanted to document this movement through his lens and began following these bikers on their global adventures. Today, Amaury continues to capture the journeys of these bikers as a photojournalist.

Happy birthday to this here gem! (and his ol lady) A few weeks back, I was kindly invited over to snap some pics for his birthday shindig, and we reckon'd right then and there to turn it into an article for the upcoming issue of This is Now! And let me tell ya, the most important thing to know is that them pictures were for his birthday last dang year, ahahaha! But hey, luckily enough, we managed to make it in time for this year's birthday bash. Raise them glasses, bruv! Cheers! 📸

This must be one of my favorite photos. For issue one of This is Now magazine, I wanted to make some kind of statement. Don't ask me what kind of statement. With an old photo of Burt Reynolds in my mind (a photo that was also parodied in Easyriders magazine in the late seventies), I called Rolf. "Rolf, I have a request for you, but I'm not gonna say what it is. So, yes or no?"

Without any hesitation, Rolf said yes. So a few days later, I had a butt-naked Rolf in my garage, and we did this shot. Hero!

Meeting the great in Amsterdam last night. This is what we look like after a few beers. I am beyond happy to say that Bills is gonna part of the brand new TIN collective of photographers. The best thing is that we worked together before, so we know what to expect from each other.

A little Panhead love today with super neat Panhead. If I remember the story right this Panhead changed owner after a few to many beers and a price no one could have refused. Bo’s Panhead was in issue 1 of This is Now! magazine.

On June 26, 2014, we released issue 3 of This is Now! Magazine, also known as TIN-TANK. It was another good reason for a release party, and this time we decided to make it a campout. The turnout was great again. We had a barbecue, drank plenty, danced on the tables of the cantina, and didn't go to bed until early in the morning. The next morning, it became clear that some guests were still drunk, as one of them fell off his motorcycle that was fully packed and ready to go. Fortunately, he fell on the grass, so there was no damage or injury. All he needed was a strong cup of coffee, and we all headed home. Good times were guaranteed!

The knucklehead you’re looking at is older than old-school. This bike was bought by Andries back in 1979 as a Hydra-glide with a knucklehead engine as power plant. The Hummer gas-tank, Superior up swept pipes, the Bates seat and the metal flake finish make this one hell of an amazing chopper! A few years ago the original engine was replaced for a Flathead Power Knuckle, and the original Knucklehead engine is now being used for building another Chopper. Andries is a member of PB MC, one of the oldest Motorcycle clubs in the Netherlands.

Happy birthday to this legend and wonderful human being. Happy birthday Claus! 🎉 🎈

It’s 2014 when I meet Claus for the first time. I am standing with a booth of "This is Now "at the Rumblers CC barbecue and suddenly two guys on their choppers come riding in in a cloud of dust. It looks like a picture from an old magazine. I ask them if it’s okay to take some pictures with them and that is no problem. I didn't know the Picturebooks, but most of all, I had never heard of Claus Grabke. Shame on me. The article with Claus and his son Fynn from the Picturebooks was published in TIN Magazine issue 3 in 2014
