Desmond Ridder Leading Atlanta To The Playoffs? Bijan Robinson HEATING UP! Falcons News & Rumors
plenty to talk about on offense today but I want to start the video off by showing a little love to this Falcons defense rough three straight games coming into this one but they kept New Orleans out of the end zone a couple of field goals and Jessie Bates had a 92 yard pick six so if you enjoyed kicking the Saints ass if you enjoy being at the top of the NFC south then hit that Thumbs Up Button because we are not going anywhere we're going to get you guys more Falcons content and if the wins keep coming who knows we could be
talking about playoffs baby so with that being said let's jump into Today's Show what's going on everyone coming up on today's show we're going to talk about the Ritter roller coaster right where do we stand with Desmond with everything we saw on Sunday with a lot of good but also a lot of bad and then we're going to talk about bejan Robinson and Drake London as the two former eighth overall picks are getting rolling at the perfect time heading into the final stretch of the year but let's talk
about Mr Desmond Ritter so in week 12 he went 13 for 21 168 yards one beautiful touchdown pass might I add to bejan Robinson and two bad interceptions so I feel like we have an idea as to who Desmond Ritter is at this point of his career he's a box score nightmare right if you go box score hunt you are not what you are not going to like what you see out of Desmond Ritter although I think if you watch the games and I mean watch the games not passively not having it on one of the TVs right but actually sitting down and watching
the games you see a lot of really impressive throws from Desmond Ritter right he had that beautiful throw to Drake London where he layered it in between two Defenders we've seen a lot of arm strength from dr9 we've seen a lot of downfield accuracy from Ritter like the individual moments they are there like he's had a lot of good games it's just the turnovers which is so maddening because if he reduce the turnovers man the tone around Desmond Ritter would be extremely different don't you think like if this is not a
guy who's turned it over five times in the Red Zone alone let alone all the other turnovers he's had we are talking about Desmond Ritter being the franchise quarterback moving forward and lucky for him he still has a lot of games left to prove himself and to maybe find a starting job Beyond 2023 in Atlanta but it's the red zone I mean like he is a nightmare in the Box SCH like I said but in between the 20 yard lines he's a pretty average to above average Quarterback that I don't mind seeing
Atlanta start for this year because for starters they don't have another better option I don't think you have a better chance of winning with Taylor hinei and two there's no trades happening we are months away from the draft of course there's no wi in free AG agency that's going to walk in and save the day or anything like that so Desmond Ritter is the best guy you got at this point and if he can just and I know we've said this for weeks on end and we're kind of at the point now where it's probably not
going to change but if he can find a way to be a little bit smarter with the football when he gets towards the end zone this could be a very different Falcons team going into the final stretch of the year but let me know can Desmond Ritter get Atlanta to the playoffs this is the pinned comment so YouTube she likes to put ad breaks around this time if you do get one scroll on down type yes or no now personally I think Desmond Ritter can get the job done and get the Falcons to the playoffs because their schedule
is so easy and we're going to look at it later on and it's laughable like I know it's the NFL right the Falcons lost to the Cardinals for crying out loud but still there is just no one really out there that scares me so I think Ritter can get Atlanta to the playoffs if you go back and look at recent playoff history there are some random quarterbacks who have started playoff games I mean talk about good timing our producer today is Jeremy chugs a Texans fan if there's anyone in the world that
knows random quarterbacks playing in playoff games it is Texans fan TJ Yates give me the Yates of hell yeah so maybe Desmond Ritter can be the Yates of Hell in 2023 so I do believe that Desmond Ridder might not look like a playoff quarterback but I do think with good defense and bejon Robinson and a really easy schedule he can get to nine wins and that wouldn't be enough in a lot of other divisions but it probably will be enough in the NFC South now next up on the show we're going to talk about bejon
Robinson Drake London are they breaking out what to expect out of the Falcons top two offensive weapons but really quickly I want to highlight our our awesome sponsor today prize picks now let's just cut to the chase here Monday Night Football might not look great on paper Bears Vikings but if you want to stay engaged and locked in on the game go to priz picks.
com clns and what you're going to do is pick more or less on two to six player sta projections so let me show you my selections for Monday night I'm taking the more on Justin fields's passing yards I'm taking the less on Josh Jobs's passing yards give me the more on DJ Mo in his receiving yards and the more on Brandon Powell remember that's the guy who fortunately scored at the end of the game for the Vikings to beat Atlanta I'll take them more on his receiving yards with no Justin Jefferson tonight
so make sure you check out prize picks go to prize.com clns when you get prize picks and you use that along with the promo code clns you're going to get a $100 deposit match or up to $100 deposit match so if you want to stay engaged on some stinkers of prime time matchups that is what price pick is for so check them out all that information is in the comments and description of today's video prize picks daily fantasy sports made easy so let's talk a little bit more about this win and what to expect out of bejan Robinson
and Drake London as London went off for five grabs 91 yards and he looks like the part he looks the part of a true number one wide receiver in my eyes he does everything you want to see he's got great route running abilities he's got Surefire hands he's got incredible speed he can climb up a tree but bejan Robinson man we are starting to get a good taste of what to expect for I believe the next decade in Atlanta and that is the future Falcons alltime leading rusher number seven bejon Robinson because Arthur Smith finally
went on Twitter and he listen to us I know he watches the show because we were begging for bean it made no sense to use a top 10 pick on a running back have an offense that you designed you handpicked to be a run first off offense and then asked Desmond Ridder to throw the ball 40 times finally bejon is getting a good amount of usage the last two games 38 carries 186 rushing yards 43 through the air he's averaging nearly five yards a pop on the ground and three touchdowns it never computed in my brain why Arthur
Smith wanted to build a team around running the football and then started off the year not going to the ground with bej Robinson but finally I think he just decided you know what keep it simple stupid come on Michael Scott let's just give the ball to bejon Robinson let's throw the ball to Drake London and what's a bit ironic is Kyle Pitts had the fewest amount of snaps he's had all season on Sunday but we'll talk about that later on but I think a big reason why we're seeing a you know a
big spike from bejan is he's getting great offensive line play including his left guard Matthew berson the rookie from Syracuse who posted unreal numbers from PFF in week 12 an overall grade of 94.9 they don't give out 94.9 very often it's extremely rare to find a grade over 90 so to find one at nearly 95 is astonishing run blocking 92.6 pass blocking 71.
6 I also don't get how the Run blocking and pass blocking can be lower than the overall sometimes I don't get PFF but you know what when it fits your narrative you push it down people's throats that's what PFF is all about so with Drake London looking like Drake London Desmond Ritter just you know managing the game more or less great defense the rookies are heating up Falcons back are the Falcons back they play who nobody that's who they play the Falcons are back I'm ready to declare it right now Atlanta is back I
did not quit on this team when they were sitting at four- six riding a three-game winning streak we made Sunday a must win game for Atlanta against the Saints and they answered the call offense defense special teams everyone got the job done for ATL and now we look at what they have in front of them six games to go and it's easy I mean I understand it's the NFL but all these teams are not just bad teams for the most part except for the Colts I'd say they're in a bad spot like let's go game by game the Jets are
starting Tim Bole that's embarrassing that's a downright embarrassment not to the Jets but to the entire National Football League that should be a dub week 14 against the Bucks they started off 2-0 and they are 2 and seven in their last nine games I like Atlanta going into that matchup at home by the way then they go to the Panthers who just fired Frank Reich now hopefully no one else hired Frank Reich or else have a Third Reich and we know how that goes but the Panthers not in a good spot week 16 they got the Colts definitely the
toughest game but at least it's at home so the Colts have been good on the road compared to at home this season but at home against Indie yeah I think that's a winnable game week 17 at Chicago might be tougher than it looks just because playing in Chicago in December is not a fun time but I think they are the better team than the Bears right now especially in the trenches and that might be the Difference Maker like it was last year and then they round out the year in New Orleans against a Saints team they just
beat up one by nine points and did not allow Derek Carr into the end zone once so let's look at the updated NFC Playoff Picture going into week 12 the Bears and Vikings play tonight but although that really does not impact Atlanta the Falcons are not interested in the wild card in my eyes like maybe they could sneak in although it doesn't look really likely that we're going to get two NFC South teams at this rate for the Falcons it's really simple it's keep Pace with the Saints right Atlanta five- six New
Orleans five- Six if the Falcons and Saints more or less had the same record moving forward it's going to be Atlanta at 8-9 or 9-8 winning the NFC playoff or winning the NFC South and getting probably that final spot of the division winners now before I show you my playoff picture my prediction who do you guys think will win the division Falcons Saints or Buccaneers let me know Down Below in the comment section who you think is going to win this Division I think it's pretty safe to say who I think is going to win this Division I

believe I truly do believe this as well Atlanta will be hosting a playoff game for the first time in a long time and the first time under Arthur Smith I mean we can look at the playoff prediction I have to the very bottom Jeremy of the playoff picture and here is PD's prediction so I've got the Eagles taking the number one seed with a 14 and3 record I've got the 49ers I think San Francisco beats Philly For What It's Worth next week but the Eagles have too big of a lead to blow the number one
seed spot I've got the Lions coming in at 13 and4 I've got the Falcons coming in at 9 and8 and then what about the Cowboys coming in at 12 and5 Seahawks I'm really mad at myself for this one because I said before the year they're not going to make the playoffs but I don't know who to who to put in ahead of them I don't think the Packers are legit and I don't think the Vikings are legit but I do think the Rams squeak in um gonna take Matthew Stafford Aaron Donald and Cooper cup over a six-game stretch
over Jordan love and Josh dos so I think the Rams could get it done and make the playoffs and have NFC West showdown in the first round of the playoffs that's going to do it for us on today's show thank you

Frank reich: how to get fired in 11 games

That didn't last very long i just got here the carolina panthers have fired frank reich after just 11 games that's all carolina is in nfl worst 1 and 10 and they have been terrible they have been hard to watch all season long and honestly it's just felt like it keeps getting worse and to make things even worse they don't have a first round pick there are clearly teams out there tanking at least a little bit like the patriots trying to get maybe a higher pick just look absolutely terrible the
Panthers have nothing to gain here dude they are a bad football team without a first round pick that just cannot win and there's no point in tanking they want to win they traded their 2024 first overall pick to move up and take bryce young first overall at the draft who has really really struggled as a rookie so far i do think things look a lot worse for bryce young just because of how good cj stroud has been i think it makes him look a little worse a lot of rookies do end up struggling but yeah it hasn't
Been pretty for bryce young at the same time he has just nine touchdowns and eight interceptions this season they took this kid first overall and look he still has a lot of potential i want to make that very clear he's been put in a very tough situation he doesn't have a lot of good offensive weapons his offensive alliance terrible the coaching has obviously been questionable that's why frank Reich’s now gone he hasn't been good but he still has a lot of potential we just really haven't seen a
Lot of it this season but at the end of the day the number one priority for the panthers is bryce young and essentially having him develop if coaching is not doing that then the panthers need to suck it up and they need to try again now i will admit i thought frank reich was going to be great in carolina i thought it was a great hire i loved it i thought he was going to be great for bryce young and his development just it seemed like the right move and of course hindsight's always 2020 now you look back on it and david teer is going to
Get a lot of heat and he should the roster management around this team has been terrible but i still did think frank reich was the guy and even now i really don't think they should have fired him after just 11 games i had high hopes for frank reich and just clearly i was wrong now frank reich has had a good amount of success in the nfl as a coach now not necessarily as a head coach but definitely as a coach he was the chargers offensive coordinator and worked alongside philip rivers and then i mean he had carson wentz having an mvp
Level season before he got hurt in 2017 that was the same year the eagles won the super bowl with nick foles and then finally after all that success in philadelphia he finally got his name called and became a head coach with the colts he was there for 4 and a half years the colts won a single playoff game and they did have a winning record in three of his four seasons which honestly for the situation he was put in i think was kind of impressive i think a lot of the problems frank reich had in indie were all just because of
Quarterback when he got to the colts he was supposed to have a franchise quarterback in andrew luck that was what he was supposed to have for his entire tenure there and they were going to be able to figure things out luck came back he won comeback player of the year in that first year back the first year of under frank reich and then he retired out of nowhere and instead of having andrew luck frank reich had a different starting quarterback in each five of his seasons andrew luck jacobe brett philip rivers carson wentz and matt ryan that
Was a tough situation to be in as a head coach and honestly uh bringing in washed veterans every offseason certainly is a very uh weird decision now i thought because of how much turmoil there was at quarterback in indie that if the panthers could get a quarterback actually figured out like bryce young was maybe frank reich would figure it out now still there were a lot of problems that i just think went past his control if you ask me what the number one problem is in carolina it wasn't frank reich it's david teer the owner
The panthers are about to have their sixth straight losing season since he bought the team after that long run rivera era they ended up moving on to mat rule that's in work at all frank wright was supposed to be the next guy and now we're at full disaster once again now there have been a lot of rumors that frank reich preferred cj stroud over bryce young at the draft but david terer wanted bryce young now who knows the validia of that i don't know reich would definitely never have admitted that as the panthers head coach
You know he's bryce young's guy you got to keep that kid confident but if that's true that's huge and just to add salt to the w the panthers sent away two first round picks to move up to first overall for young and they gave up dj moore wide receiver has been a huge problem in carolina and they sure could use a guy like dj moore to make things even worse that pick is currently first overall and it's the bears that could very well end up being caleb williams or drake may two of the top quarterbacks in this year's
Class that honestly i think are better prospects than bryce young was is coming out of alabama now of course hindsight's always 2020 but it seems like at every move the panthers had made the wrong decision i mean this is just p**s poor roster management and david terer just to be honest needs to keep his nose out of things it's the same thing i saw with dan snider for so long that hurt washington for so many years and it's what jerry jones continues to plague the cowboys with and try to hold them back
With you hire people for a reason hire your experts and let them control the team the owner should not be making roster decisions like that the bottom line is i really do think david teer is the big problem in carolina and when the owner is the issue you're not going to be set up for success in the future it's only been 6 years but it's been a very bad six years and it makes me wonder if he's going to hold this franchise back ultimately i wonder how much success the panthers are going to be able to have
With whatever coach they have if he is still the owner now you really do have to just sit back back and wonder how attractive of a job the panthers is going to be for a new head coach you don't have a first round pick they don't have a good offensive line there's no good offensive weapons on the roster and their young quarterback hasn't been very good you would have at least hoped that that was going to be your building block but even he struggled you know there's going to be a lot of other teams that
Are going to have head coach vacancies and i just don't think carolina is a very attractive option especially when you throw in the incom competency of david teer so we're going to have to see where carolina goes to head coach in the off season but until then chris taber is going to be the interim head coach he's been the panthers special teams coordinator since 2022 and he was actually the special teams coordinator for the bears and the browns before he came to carolina um his last time serving as a head coach was at culver
Stockton college in 2001 uh that is a small niia liberal arts college in canton missouri um i had never heard of it that was straight off wikipedia right there looking forward now truly the only thing that matters for the rest of this season is the development of bryce young you just really have to hope that you're going to see a little bit more out of him now there's been a lack of development when it comes to him this season and that's probably the big reason why frank reich got fired meanwhile it it feels like cj stroud has
Just been getting better every single week now maybe the panthers are going to rally around each other after the firing i don't know certainly teams like the giants commanders and patriots hope so and they can run together a couple wins and maybe they can jump the bears when it comes to the giraffe order bryce young is obviously learning i mean he's going to need time so just let him keep getting those reps in obviously that team around him is not very good but let him continue to learn hopefully you get
A couple wins in there it's not like you're tanking for a high pick so it doesn't really matter i will say i do still like bryce young it's only been 11 games this season just calmed down he was the first overall pick for a reason i think the vast majority of teams would have taken him first overall if they had the pick it has been very bad but you know what we saw the same thing with trevor lawrence they got urban meer out of there doug peterson came in and all of a sudden trevor lawrence was
Fantastic even though he is having a bit of a down year again bryce young is a guy i expect to turn everything around i think he can be a good pro i'm not saying he's going to be better than cj strout i think strout is fantastic and we've already he's already proven that but i do think bryce young is going to be just fine the panthers truly are just an absolute disaster in in every way at this point bad ownership no head coach a struggling young quarterback a bad bad offense around him but here's the good
News right the only way the panthers can go now is up they're 1 in 10 they're the worst team in football it's really hard to see it get any worse than what it is right now it's time to go back to the drawing board and just hope that whoever carolina ends up hiring in the offseason can develop rice young because frank reich just wasn't the answer and that's why he's already been fired after 11 games thanks for making it to the end of the video let me know down below what you think of the frank reich firing do
You think he should have been fired do you think they probably should have waited a little bit like i really do let me know down below if you don't already make sure you subscribe to the channel if you don't already follow us on social media @ jdpr nfl and follow me on instagram twitter at d l a ke and we'll see you guys in the next one peace

Why is luxembourg the richest country in europe? | economics explained

This is luxembourg or officially the grand duchy of luxembourg a small landlocked country wedged between belgium france and germany which is home to by many metrics the most successful economy in the world the economy of luxembourg is actually somewhat of a personal nuisance to me if i'm being perfectly honest countless times on this channel i try to talk about just how impressive certain national economies are by saying that they are the world leader in particular economic metrics like gdp per capita or average national
Wealth or human development the problem is i almost always have to make the small disclaimer that this doesn't include micronations like monaco or luxembourg and i should really clarify that this is micronations like monaco coma or luxembourg because luxembourg isn't a micro nation it's a small country geographically with a small population but it's not a micronation it has much more in common with its neighbors than it does with something like monaco lichtenstein or the vatican it's easy to understand why monaco has
Such impressive economic statistics it's a country with very favorable tax laws for wealthy people looking for a new place to call home rich people are attracted to it because of these tax laws and because it's a nice safe place to live with a thriving social scene of other rich people all that demand combined with a tiny supply of land means that only rich people can afford to live there and if country is filled with very wealthy international business people and celebrities it doesn't really matter what the government's economic
Policies are it's inevitably going to have the highest gdp per capita in the world luxembourg almost breaks our traditional understanding of economics though because it's achieved tax haven the only thing is that despite all of its apparent regularities, it's by far the wealthiest country in the eu. Micronation levels of wealth while effectively just being a regular economy; it's not a tax haven, and the majority of its residents are regular working people; it has a regular government; regular industries; and regular tax revenues.
The wealthiest regular economy in the world luxembourg has a gdp per capita of 133 590 which is almost double that of the united states with a gdp per capita of 70 000 249 dollars the usa itself is also an incredibly productive country but luxembourg's economic output is 13 times the global average even if this can't be replicated in our own economies it can teach us a lot about what gdp actually is and how much it really means for real economic prosperity so how did luxembourg achieve such high levels of
Economic output is it possible for other economies to do the same thing and finally are there any threats to their incredible levels of economic prosperity once we've done all of that we can put luxembourg on the economics explained national leaderboard this episode of economics explained was brought to you by shipstation shipstation is an essential tool for anybody that wants to run their business that ships products to customers shipstation has a dashboard that organizes everything a business could ever want for its shipping it integrates

People to live there by giving them a tax break in fact the country actually has reasonably high income taxes that means that the country generates its wealth by having extremely productive industries and equally productive workers but how does the average luxembourg produce twice as much as an average worker in the usa well they pick their industries very carefully luxembourg only has a population of 640 000 which is well above microstate levels but is still smaller than almost all major cities in the world so its
Industries are not nearly as diverse as the usa's but the ones that it does have are highly value-adding banking steel production and tourism account for most of its economic output which are all perfect industries but all for different reasons starting with banking financial services account for more than half of the country's entire gdp typically we think of switzerland and we think of highly efficient and discrete european banking but luxembourg is an even more attractive destination to a lot of very
Wealthy individuals and institutions luxembourg has a lot of advantages over switzerland which means that it's just a better choice for a lot of financial services for starters it's in the eu and it uses the euro if you are a wealthy european or running a european business it makes sense to have your banking done in your own currency as opposed to a foreign currency like the swiss franc even if it is very stable and secure being part of the eu also gives it tax and legal advantages that are not available to swiss banks or are
Certainly not as easy to get around now in the past these financial services have been the cause of concern for a lot of their neighbors because luxembourg developed the same reputation that switzerland had which was that it's a place that you go to do banking if you have something to hide which given their equally strict banking privacy laws was not an unfair assumption this reputation in the past put them on the g20's gray list of countries with questionable banking arrangements being on this list
Open them up to scrutiny that could eventually lead them to being cut off from global payment networks like swift or having other restrictions placed on their most important industry the country very quickly amended a few key tax laws and was removed from the gray list just a few months later obviously they didn't want to stay on this list because even if they were benefiting from hiding money or facilitating tax avoidance it wouldn't be worth it compared to how much they were making from just providing good banking
Services to good customers the country is home to the third most competitive financial center in europe behind only london and zurich given the country's small population most of their banking is focused on international clients and because that's their focus they become really good at it managing finances across multiple legal jurisdictions language barriers and business cultures is difficult and it's a highly priced service that a lot of companies are willing to pay a lot of money for most multinationals operating in europe will
Work with luxembourgish banks accountants and lawyers because they are well respected very efficient and act as a one-stop shop for everything those companies might need to do business across the continent the official language of luxembourg is luxembourgish but since it's such a small country with such strong connections to its neighbors english german french dutch and even spanish and italian are very common language images and are spoken widely by professionals providing international services in the country just having a
Center that can communicate with all the other major economies in europe in their own language is worth paying to have financial services centered in luxembourg it's actually such a widely recognizing intermediary that the european union itself headquartered the european investment bank in luxembourg city the european investment bank is not the same as the european central bank which is the reserve bank of the eu the european investment bank is a fund that raises its own money and then gives out loans to big projects that couldn't be
Individually funded by member states the member states of the eu are technically shareholders of the european investment bank although it doesn't run for a profit unless you count the economic benefits that come from being able to efficiently and cheaply fund infrastructure projects the reason this is important to luxembourg is because the country directly benefits from having such a large and influential institution operating in its capital the average salary in the banking industry is very high with varying estimates of
Around 100 000 euro per year with a lot of senior bankers earning a lot more than that the industry has around 27 000 direct employees working for 124 officially authorized banks which might not sound like a lot but it's around five percent of the total population banking also requires a lot of supporting industries like accounting legal and i.
T support which are also very skilled in valuating industries in their own rights the economy also benefits from being able to manage so much wealth from across the world because it's such a popular banking destination the total assets the banking industry controls is equal to 12 times the country's gdp now while they don't own those deposits they do get to invest them which gives them the potential to make huge profits without risking any money of their own luxembourg also has a surprisingly large steel industry the country has a centuries-long history of
Producing some of the world's best steel components luxembourg is the global headquarters of arcelormittal the world's second largest steel producer behind only the chinese state-owned bowel steel group a lot of that steel is still produced within the country's small borders by well-paid highly skilled unionized workers using world-class equipment furthering the country's world-leading economic output figures outside of banking steel and their direct supporting services other typical industries exist in a small
Country as well but because those industries operate in a country with so many wealthy customers they can charge a lot for their goods and services remember price is a function of supply and demand if we assume that the supply of goods and services are roughly the same as their direct neighbors then prices will be determined by demand demand itself is a function of how many people are willing and able to buy stuff when people in an economy are earning a lot of money they will have an increased ability to purchase stuff even if prices
Are higher and they are high luxembourg is amongst the most unaffordable countries in the world the average expenses for a family of four is estimated at 3 300 euro per month before housing and those are just basic necessities even though workers in luxembourg earn a lot of money most people just can't afford to live there so they don't and that's the real reason why luxembourg is so wealthy luxembourgers work in world industries where they can demand very high incomes for their output but lots of other
Countries have banks and specialized industries these industries by themselves are not enough to explain how luxembourg is twice as wealthy as the united states and the reality is that it's not gdp is a measure of how much an economy produces gdp per capita is how much an economy produces divided by the amount of residents in that country so you might think that an economy where gdp per capita is twice as high is twice as wealthy with the average person having twice as much stuff normally this assumption is close enough but it's a
Bit different in the case of luxembourg to increase gdp per capita the average resident needs to produce more stuff for an economy to achieve this it can either give us residence access to better tools better training or better jobs luxembourg does this very well it has one of the world's best job markets a highly skilled workforce and access to world-leading industrial and financial infrastructure an economy can also increase gdp per capita by just getting people to work labor force participation is very important because if a lot of
People are choosing not to work then they will bring down the average output of the average resident like orenburg has a very high labor force participation rate it has a small population and huge industries so it needs all the workers it can get but those industries are so large that it actually brings in a lot of workers from abroad normally this is where we would start talking about skilled migration but luxembourg has an even more direct solution to finding workers because it's part of the eu it means citizens from
Belgium france and germany can all cross its borders to work jobs in luxembourg and then cross the border again at the end of the day to go back home around 200 000 people 46 percent of the country's workforce are not residents of luxembourg they're residents of its neighboring countries but they travel to luxembourg every day to work in one of its world famous industries these people will be producing goods and services to contribute to the total economic output or gdp of luxembourg but because they
Are not residents they don't get counted in the denominator when economists work out gdp per capita if these people were included then luxembourg would have a gdp per capita of around 100 000 us dollars which would still be world leading but would be more line with other concentrated financial centers like switzerland and ireland so it's not entirely a technicality of how these statistics are worked out luxembourg is still an economic powerhouse and to be clear a lot of economies especially those in europe where cross-border
Working is so easy benefit from these calculations as well luxembourg is truly unique because of just how many workers and non-residents there are no other countries in the world that bring in almost half of their workforce without them being migrants and migrants that live and work in their host countries still get counted as residents so they don't skew gdp per capita figures like they do in luxembourg if an economist was to work out gdp per capita of a high-end central business district like central london or the financial district
Of new york it's possible they would have a gdp per capita of half a million dollars a year or more because they house so much industry and so few actual residents obviously economists don't do that but luxembourg is kind of like if that cbd just happened to have national borders drawn around it okay now it's time to put luxembourg the world's most productive country on the economics explained national leaderboard starting as always with size luxembourg has a gdp of 86.7 billion dollars which
Makes it roughly the 70th largest economy in the world he gets a 5 out of 10. Gdp per capita we already know it's going to be a 10 out of 10. The country produces a hundred and thirty three thousand five hundred and ninety dollars’ worth of output for every resident every year which is incredible this is thanks to a combination of its highly skilled workforce world-class industries and yes of course being on the right side of her technicality even without such a stretch of how gdp per capita is calculated the
Country would still easily get a 10 out of 10. Stability and confidence is also world leading so many institutions choose to set up operations in the country because it has proven itself to be a reliable corruption-free and safe place to get things done when lots of money is on the line it gets a 10 out of 10.
Growth has also been strong being so heavily involved in global banking did mean it was hurt by the gfc in the eurozone crisis but even as a very established economy that favors a slow and steady approach to economic management it has grown its output by over 50 percent in the last decade it gets the 7 out of 10. Finally industry now while they are world leading for their quality the economy is still not massive it's more of an administrative center for operations all across europe and the rest of the world even still what it does do it does well it gets a 7
Out of 10. Altogether that kids luxembourg an average score of 7.8 out of 10 which puts it all the way up here on the leaderboard thanks for watching mate bye
