You can only find these bad boys on Automaton planets and they look like an ugly grey square on your map. Your task is to activate it via the terminal. Then, you wait for the launcher to rise out of the ground like a phoenix from the ashes. Finally, activate the launcher subsystems and the SAM site will be online and ready to liberate! Now, that SAM site is gonna try to shoot down Automaton dropships. But here's the deal: it's got the range of my grandma's shotgun, just a couple hundred meters. And since it can only fires one missile at a time it usually takes out a ship AFTER it’s dropped off reinforcements. Look closely, and you'll see a tiny grey line indicating the barrel. Around the turret site you'll find about 7 shells. Now, here's a little trick for ya: you can move faster if you spam the pickup button and juggle the shell you’re tryin to carry Your job? Load 5 of 'em up and activate the artillery via the terminal. Once it's primed, you'll get a new stratagem to unleash some serious democracy. Now, pay attention to the shell types: - Green tip: Explosive, like an orbital precision strike. - Yellow tip: High yield explosive, packs a punch like a 500kg bomb. - Grey tip: Smoke, for some cover like a smoke strike. - Blue tip: Static field, zaps 'em like an orbital EMS strike. - Red tip: Napalm, burns 'em up like an eagle napalm strike. - Black tip: Mini nuke, wipes 'em out like a Hellbomb. Bet you didn’t know this HELLDIVERS 2 TIP for finding samples using the map Those of you under my command already know my method for tracking samples on the map, but for you fresh-faced newbies, pay attention. When you discover a minor Point of Interest (POI), look out for the symbols. A diamond gem symbol means there are samples nearby. Pretty simple, right? WRONG! If you complete the radar side objective, it'll mark ALL minor POIs with diamond symbols, whether they have samples or not. Even POIs that NEVER have samples like unexploded Hellbombs and ground stashes get marked with the diamond. Sneaky, huh? The ones with samples will update when you collect them, but if a POI doesn’t have any samples it's stuck with that diamond symbol forever. So, remember this: just because your radar marks a spot with a gem, doesn't mean it's a jackpot of samples. Got any other sample collecting tips? Bet you didn’t know how the HELLDIVERS 2 planetary liberation system ACTUALLY works When we’re liberating a planet it always has **1,000,000 HP.** But defense operations can have fortifications ranging from **400,000 to 2,000,000 HP**. Planets being liberated also regenerate HP, with rates from **1.5% to 4.5% per hour**. But beware, Joel can change these values at any time. And remember, defense campaigns don’t regen HP; they’re just about beating the clock. And don’t forget the automatons have been dropping nukes on our planets, causing liberation dips of **1-2%**, sometimes multiple times, in a pathetic attempt to thwart the spread of liberty. Every operation you complete helps the current campaign and the ones you don’t will not effect the HP of a planet. Bet you didn’t know this HELLDIVERS 2 TRICK that let’s you fire the Erupter TWICE AS FAST The new R-36 Erupter can be requisitioned from the 2nd page of the Democratic Detonation Warbond for 60 medals It packs an explosive punch with every bullet so it excels at dealing with almost anything the enemies of super earth can throw at it The only problem is this gun fires slower than my grandma when she’s driving to super church on Sunday BUT if you switch weapons between shots you can fire TWICE AS FAST! The trick is to fire then swap to your secondary and the moment you see your guns reticle icon change swap back and you can fire again immediately Once you master this trick I should be able to set my watch to the beat of you firing 1 Erupter round every second You better hurry though, this trick might not work if we receive an updated version of the Erupter in the future What’s your favorite weapon from the new warbond? Bet you didn’t know that the HELLDIVERS 2 hit markers don’t work like they do in other games In other shooters when you see a white X by your weapons reticle it means you’re damaging the enemy and when it turns red you killed them BUT HELLDIVERS 2 ISN’T LIKE OTHER SHOOTERS, YOU MAGGOT! In Helldivers 2 there are 3 types of hit marker: the white x means you only have PARTIAL ARMOR PENETRATION so you’re only doing about 50% DAMAGE! The Red X means you’re dealing the maximum amount of damage to your target, but it DOESN’T MEAN YOU KILLED THEM SO KEEP SHOOTING, YOU IDIOT! The Shield Ricochet icon means your current weapon doesn’t have enough armor penetration, or you’re shooting the enemy at an angle so the bullet is bouncing off. YOU GOTTA SHOOT STRAIGHT, YOU DUMMY! BUT you regain stamina faster if you crouch or fastest when you go prone Crouched it only takes 3.51 seconds and prone is 3.13 seconds PLUS moving doesn’t increase the stamina recovery time, SO NO LYING AROUND HELLDIVER!
