We start the year off with a special debut by local Producer, DJ & owner of Downtento - Luke Taylor.
'Headrush' is a six track Ep of some of his finest work. Pristine quality audio with each song being a completely different journey from the next- which is a result of his high musical erudition from years of experience.
Luke has developed a truly unique sound, hitting all the right spots, a good balance of intricate drum sequences that pair perfectly with live guitar, emotive melodies and clever arrangements. The result is a full sonic experience with a strong central narrative that is a natural push and pull on the heartstrings. Luke features three originals with Headrush being our personal favourite with vocals by the very talented Acid Grove which immediately caught our attention. The project also features three remixes rounded off by international producer OX, who took a fresh and twisted approach to the original, an interpretation by Leeu, who headed in more of a experimental, lucid yet dubby downtempo path and to finish things off we have a remix by the mighty Vox Portent who surprised us with a cheeky stripped back techno edit.
Premieres out on Suprematic Sounds, Deep House South Africa, Hug Records & trndmusik this weekend!

The AquaBlendz, Wodash Stogh - Emotional Atmosphere EP is out end of the month on Suid Tronica, 28th October - with official remixes by Alown & LEEU - with Premieres on Suprematic Sounds & Deep House South Africa

"We Have returned, with a very special single from none other than 'The Aquablendz' & 'Wodash Stogh' who delivered us this hard hitting single titled “Emotional Atmosphere”.

The moment we heard this song, we knew we had something special.. simply put it shook our souls.

The song has its rhythmic backbone in kwaito, roots in hiphop, but a fresh new take on downtempo. that melts you into your couch or makes you spring up from your seat onto the dancefloor. There is a nostalgia that hangs over those autotuned vocals, paired with edgy synths and thunderous drum programming. we have paired the single with two remixes, with a more light upbeat remix from local producer Alown and a very emotional remix by Leeu who took it to new heights.
Nothing seems rigid here and rules do not apply and there is a sense of newness in the air, this is what excites us most as a label. We are excited about this release as it also represents something of a personal turning point in terms of sound and direction for Suid Tronica"

Eternally grateful, and so thankful.. to the artists, the dancers, and everyone involved in putting this together. Everyone played beautifully and It was everything we ever imagined it to be.. There was a feeling in the air that I have not felt in a very long time, it was genuine so great to see everyone truly let go and immerse themselves in the musical experience. Thank you for each and everyone one who came to see i-2-i with us ❤
