Position: Field Technician
Location:Kenya


JOB DESCRIPTION
Key roles include installing, providing quality and efficient customer service support, and
proactively maintaining fiber optic cables. In addition, you will perform any other duties
assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Install, repair and resolve fiber optic systems and ensure that they work properly.
▪ Troubleshooting fiber optic networks to identify problems and provide solutions.
▪ Handling physical installation within stipulated service level agreements.
▪ Troubleshooting and resolution of all support escalations assigned within the agreed-upon timelines.
▪ Maintenance and handling of faults as per the SLA.
▪ Carrying out routine health checks and patrols on the network.
▪ Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System requirements and communicate any potential risks identified.
▪ Document troubleshooting steps, workarounds, and resolution details
▪ Perform splicing of both single and multimode fiber optic cables using fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.
▪ Handle CPEs and ensure they are well packaged with all accessories intact in cases of recovery.
▪ Maintain integrity, including management of customer premises, company Image,
and phone etiquette.
▪ Share feedback on issues about the network and customer experience, which will, ingeneral, ensure service delivery.
▪ Fulfill any additional responsibilities delegated by the leadership team and management.

REQUIREMENTS
Hard skills and experience:
▪ Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in computer science / electrical engineering/
telecommunications, or a related field.
▪ A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a field fiber technician.
▪ Proficient in using fiber tools and fiber optic test equipment including fusion splicer, power meter, and OTDR;
▪ Must possess a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years experience in driving.
▪ Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including LAN and WAN technologies such
as Ethernet, TCP/IP, and network extenders configurations.
▪ Team player and solution-oriented (Proactive)
▪ Compliance on Time and agreed SLAs as defined by the company policies.
▪ Excellent writing and oral communication skills
▪ Ability to interact with customers, vendors, partners and other required personnel
▪ KPLC Work at Height Certificate, Certified Fiber Optics Technician, CCNA will be an
added advantage.
▪ Must be capable of handling a variety of responsibilities simultaneously while working under pressure or tight deadlines.

Position: Dispatch Agent
Location: Kenya

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key roles include monitoring of tickets by dispatching and closing them within the service
level agreement. In addition, you will perform any other duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Dispatching tickets to the teams on time.
▪ Ensuring all tickets are closed within SLA or updated accordingly on remedy
▪ Monitor schedule on the tickets and ensure all are attended at the scheduled time
▪ Pick and share escalations to the client for support needed
▪ Pick escalations from the client, follow through until the escalation is resolved
▪ Follow up on the teams performance ensuring optimal output
▪ Analyze tickets and share any recurring failures. Report is shared to the region
supervisor for permanent fix planning
▪ Ensure technicians use the required system or management tools recommended by
the client to upload data for tickets to be closed
▪ Share end of day report for the tickets handled during the day.

REQUIREMENTS:
Hard skills and experience:
▪ Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in computer science / Information Technology/ electrical
engineering/ telecommunications, or a related field.
▪ Understanding of network monitoring concepts, ticketing system and management
tools i.e BMC Remedy, XProme
▪ A minimum of 1 year experience in similar position.
▪ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
▪ Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Technical Office Engineer



Responsibilities:



-Responsible for Gathering data about project progress and productivity reports, submitting weekly and monthly analyses for the project progress.

-Integrates with the teams on sites to collect the daily progress and support for any required documentation, templates,..etc.

-Creating the OTDR bidirectional reports for the FO commissioned Links and technical audit, reports for the maintenance projects.

-Provide the time schedule for the projects and track the Actual Vs plan.

-Supports in preparing project Budgets and cash flow and monitor project budgets.

-Preparing BOQ for projects and managing materials reconciliation.

-Following up for the Project invoicing and collection.



Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.

-1-3 years of experience.

-Experience in a technical office role, Especially in fiber optic infrastructure & reporting and invoicing.

-Excellent knowledge of Fiber optic backbone and FTTH networks.

-Experience with designing, planning, and implementing fiber optic networks.

-Aware of using fiber optic testing equipment, such as OTDRs.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.

Females will be preferred.
