BASF has launched a new biomass-balanced ecoflex® biopolymer for the packaging industry, using renewable feedstocks like waste biomass instead of fossil materials. This ecoflex® F Blend C1200 BMB is certified compostable and has a 60% lower carbon footprint than the traditional version.

This biopolymer supports a circular economy by facilitating organic waste recycling and reducing fossil fuel dependence. It enables packaging companies to maintain high product quality and performance without altering current manufacturing processes or incurring extra costs.
