Navigating from Ride Scotland to 56’N
It’s all about bikes, bikers, and Scotland. That’s how we started as Ride Scotland and that’s how we mean to go on as 56’N.
For those that haven’t followed our evolution over the past 2 years, we started as Ride Scotland but had outgrown our originals plans and decided to rebrand in line with our parent company 56’N (as in 56 North, the line of latitude running through central Scotland). This was also pushed on a little by some other bikes magazines from south of the border taking issue with our original name.
Some bikers we discussed this with got quite upset by the moves these magazines were making but for us it was more a sign that we had been noticed and took it as a compliment. From adversity comes opportunity is the way we look at it. That opportunity was the chance to rebrand and bring forward the plans that we already had in place for later in the year.
So we’re here now as 56’N and will be bringing you a lot more local biking news, bike reviews of all kinds and a lot more through 2019. We’re also going to be increasing our video productions and involvement in local sports.
