ist all while playing current and entertaining music. Weathered Steel was created for the dual purpose of reclaiming the hard rock/extreme metal music scene and reviving the church of Jesus Christ. We at Weathered Steel believe that hard rock/extreme metal scene has been owned by the occult and pagan ideals for too long and that this needs to change by taking back radio with high quality rock and metal music. It is also time for the music to return to its spiritual roots in the church of God, not the Devil. For rock music started in the basement of a church to liven up the worship service before it was twisted to encourage a lifestyle that is contrary to that of Jesus. So if you think that hard rock/extreme metal music belongs to the Devil or to evil themes, you are mistaken. For all things are created by God and for God and that includes the hard rock/ extreme metal genre. The church is also twisted and wrong in its belief that your faith is determined by how you dress, what style of music you listen to, and many other religious laws that have nothing to do with Christianity. The church has been very busy separating itself from the world and in that process it has forgotten one of the main things that Jesus taught, which is to love others as you love yourself. We are also to be the light of the world by living out that love through grace for those that don’t know Jesus so they may see his love for them. Weathered Steel hopes that this new internet station will help the church to grow in the knowledge and truth of grace and to encourage believers to support and love each other in Christ. If a brother or sister in the Lord falls into sin we should not condemn them, but love them and help them through that difficult time. Weathered Steel hopes to reunite the hard rock/extreme metal genre with its roots, in Jesus. The logo is a reflection of the vision and it has many parts to it. The lion is pretty easy to figure out as it represents Jesus. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and will return again, not as a lamb, but as a mighty lion! Jesus is also the door to salvation for all that believe on Him, that is the reason for the “door knocker” ring in the lion’s mouth. The 2 swords represent the 2 swords that Jesus said is enough for us on the earth (Luke 22:38) when dealing with conflict, both physically and spiritually. One sword represents the Word of God, His love letter to all of us, the Bible. If we know His word and know how to use it properly for His glory (2 Timothy 3:10-17) nobody will be able to stand against us with deception and many will be set free from that bo***ge. This is a vital tool the Lord has blessed us with to go directly to Him for guidance, strength, comfort, wisdom, patience, and an entire list of other blessings and tools for living in these last days. Use these swords whenever the devil comes against you and he will flee from you. The term Weathered Steel seems at first to be a sign of weakness and ugliness. You think of rust and decay, like the church and the hard rock/ extreme metal scene have suffered over the years of misuse and lack of proper care. But if you noticed, the logo is still a shiny silver! How can this be you may ask, but the answer is easy. Stainless steel does not rust. There is only one way to be stainless, and that is by being washed in the blood of Jesus. Only He can change who and what you are in life. Only He can make you a new creation and keep you from spot or blemish. Jesus said in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” If we turn to Jesus, He will cleanse us from all our sin and change us from steel that can rust and decay and turn us into stainless steel, never to rust again. We may get ourselves dirty, but that dirt will no longer stick in eternity. Weathered Steel plans to take the church and the hard rock/ extreme metal scene back to Jesus to let Him transform them back to the glory that He intended when He created them. Weathered Steel knows that there will be many that will feel that the show is forcing Jesus on people by only playing what is honorable to the Lord. That is not the intent of Weathered Steel. Weathered Steel exists to share the love of Jesus through music, encourage believers in their walk, and to reveal the Truth of Jesus Christ all while playing current and entertaining music. If you are offended, you don’t have to listen. The show is for those that want something different and better out of life. Weathered Steel believes in playing music that is relevant and:

• Is a testimony of/to the goodness and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ... and/or
• Encourages the listener in their Christian faith or walk. There are varying opinions as to the definition of "Christian" music and the level of responsibility that the artists, labels and radio stations assume in the airing of contemporary Christian music. With this in mind, Weathered Steel does not endorse any artist, group, record label or musical genre by airing their music. Weathered Steel believes that everyone has a responsibility before the Lord to prayerfully seek direction in their entertainment choices. Weathered Steel believes that anyone that embraces and equips themselves with the Word of God, whether in the form of written word or music, will grow in an understanding of Christ. Weathered Steel does not adhere to the belief that all artists or bands that record on a "Christian" label should automatically be considered Christians. Contrarily, Weathered Steel believes that not all artists or bands that are on secular labels are necessarily non-believers. Weathered Steel believes that a song can contain the biblical criteria necessary to change a life for Christ and this is not hinged on who wrote or sings the song, what style of music it is, or who owns the label.
