Greetings Map Fans and Friends

Behold we have the second of the series of remixes I did of three tracks by 7D6, this was in fact the first remix I finished, pulling from the background into the foreground the spacey drama melded into the electronic vibes.

Play loud for the full dynamics within.

An EP of all remixes (including the recently released "Caterpillar Hazlett-Jazz Mix" and the upcoming remixes of "Home") will become available on one remix EP, with a special deal for those of you buying the singles.

hello Map Friends and Fans:

I'm especially pleased to announce this release. It's my remix of "Caterpillar" by Martin Granger aka 7D6 - and I had a wild time producing it.

I was especially inspired by the last part of his original mix, thinking I would do some sort of jazzy remix; once I dove into those stems I found worlds of sounds from which I could create my own version, inspired by the likes of Global Communications and Underworld, among others.

I did three other remixes of two of his other tracks, which will be released as singles/EPs over the coming weeks, ending with an album of these remixes, the originals, and some bonuses.

Lots more to come, and I hope you enjoy this and those that follow.

dug out some photos from one of the most amazing events of an era, it was a rave, it was a party, it was a festival, it was a soiree like no other! Kiki and her team pulled off something unheard of at this time, just check out that line up. It was at the time I was between Harthouse LA and the formation of Map Music, so this event was a big influence on what I saw as possible with Electroniculture. Montreal 1996

Dear friends, family, and fans of Phil Western, my name is Seth and I was a friend of Phil's whom he made an admin for his page many moons ago. As many of you know this last Saturday was Phil's birthday (it would have been his 52nd) and many shared remembrances and tributes.
It is during this time of his birth I want to announce that myself and a number of Phil's friends and collaborators have been working on a very special tribute project for some time now, and it is finally nearing completion. Thirty Years ago this month the world of electronic music took a bold new direction. A clan of eclectic cohorts, nestled deep in the studios on the edges of Vancouver, combined together some of the wildest sounds that came together in this compilation curated and produced by Dan Handrabur, his wife Iulia Cristina Handrabur, and others of the Vancouver music community, including Phil Western, adham shaikh, Stephane Novak, and members of the High Council of Dreamification. Highly influential to this day, this was the album that inspired the formation of Map Music, as we went on to work with almost everyone involved in this glorious soundtrack to a very special time.

I was invited to contribute to a compilation album of remixes of music by Phil Western, all of us involved being honoured by such a tribute, to such an influencial talent and inspiring friend. Phil is especially missed right now, this being the four year anniversary of his passing...
Here's a little clip of a rough idea I'm working on for a remix of California, which Phil released in 2013.
