"Exploring the rich Sikh heritage at three iconic Gurudwaras across India! 🙏

1️⃣Bangla Sahib, Delhi: A serene oasis in the heart of bustling Delhi, it offers solace and serves thousands daily through its langar and charitable initiatives. The sarovar (holy pool) here is believed to have healing properties.

Kasol and Chalal are two picturesque villages nestled in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India.

Kasol has earned the nickname "Mini Israel" due to the large number of Israeli tourists who visit and stay here. This has led to a blend of Israeli and local Himachali cultures, reflected in the cuisine, language, and even music scene.
On the other hand, Chalal is a small village located just a short trek away from Kasol, hosting all the major parties for party lovers.

It's important to note that while these parties contribute to the vibrant nightlife in Kasol and Chalal, they are usually more low-key compared to the party scenes in mainstream tourist destinations. The atmosphere tends to be relaxed, with a focus on enjoying nature, music, and community rather than large-scale commercial nightlife. If you're interested in experiencing these parties, it's a good idea to check with local cafes, guesthouses, or fellow travelers for information on upcoming events during your visit.

Amidst the blur of life, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there's one constant: the stars. In their silent brilliance, they remind me that clarity isn't always found in focus, but in embracing the beauty of the unknown. So here I am, a blur against the backdrop of the cosmos, finding clarity in the twinkling embrace of the Milky Way.

Sometimes, it's not about being perfectly clear, but about allowing yourself to be illuminated by the light that surrounds you. ✨

As the dawn whispers its secrets to the sleepy valleys of Kasol. I find myself captivated by the gentle caress of sunlight upon the verdant grasslands. In this moment, nature unveils its timeless wisdom, reminding us of the harmonious dance between light and shadow, beauty and tranquility.
Here, amidst the embrace of the mountains, I am but a fleeting observer of nature's eternal symphony.

Lost in the depths of the cosmos, I felt a profound sense of wonder and insignificance beneath the vast expanse of the Milky Way. Each shimmering star seemed to whisper secrets of the universe, and I felt humbled to have witnessed such a beautiful sight. As I stood in awe of the night sky from the serene beauty of Tosh, I realized the true magnitude of our existence. 🌌✨

Undoubtedly, the most beautiful and astonishing night of my life so far. 🌌

📍Dhunda, Kinnaur valley, Himachal Pradesh.

I had never seen such a clear sky, where not only the dazzling stars were visible, but you could also spot the satellites revolving around the earth with your naked eyes.

We couldn't believe our eyes that day, we looked up at the sky and saw a chain of stars moving in a straight line. Soon we realised that we witnessed the 'Starlink" satellites of SpaceX. 🛰️

Matheran Valley, Maharashtra 📍

You must have heard of many unique idols of Lord Ganesha across India. Some idols are made out of the most unimaginable things and look simply stunning. Well let me introduce you to another such idol. The beautiful hill station has a massive rock cut Ganesh idol known as Kadyavarcha Ganpati and it stands on the edge of a hill.

The word ‘Kadya’ in Marathi simply means edge and that is how the Rock-cut Ganpati idol got its name.

It took us about an hour to reach the temple as we took one of the most prominent routes to the temple which eventually connects to the Peb fort.
Due to time constraints we couldn't go to peb fort or take the idols complete picture (Google can help here).

This little hike gives you an opportunity to walk along the lush green Matheran valley overlooking the beautiful mountain range- Sahyadri ⛰️

Shaniwar Wada a 13 storey palace of Peshwas was built by Bajirao-I, in the year 1736.It was the headquarters of the Peshwas and the seat of Peshwa power and later was destroyed by a fire in 1828. All that remains are the walls that fortified this palace, with sturdy doors, studded with spikers for added protection

Today, it stands as one of the finest architectural legacies and a prime tourist attraction in the city of Pune.

If you are a history buff or enjoy art and architecture, this monument must be on your itinerary when you come to Pune.

📍Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh temple, Pune.

Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh temple in Pune is one of the most famous Ganesha temples in India. The temple was built in 1893 and has been popular since.

The Ganpati temple is named after a famous trader and sweet maker, Dagdusheth Halwai, who had moved to Pune from Karnataka and built the temple in Pune after losing his son to the plague.

The temple's simple yet alluring construction has been admired by many. It is built in a way that all the proceedings inside the temple can be seen from outside too.

Teej Procession 2023, Jaipur ✨

Why is teej celebrated?

It is believed that, it took Sati 108 subsequent births to bring Lord Shiva out of his meditative state. Her 108th birth was in the form of Parvati. Thus, married women seek the blessings of Goddess Parvati on Teej Festival for marital bliss.

Mahakal, the God connected to time. 🔱

One of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the lingam at the Mahakala is believed to be swayambhu, i.e, born of itself.
The holy sanctuary is found along the banks of the Rudra Sagar Lake in Ujjain.
Here, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Mahakaaleshwar form which is a fierce form of Shiva.

Over 900 metres long, the newly constructed corridor at the temple has been given the name "Mahakal Lok." It is dotted with 108 ornate sandstone columns in a row, each with a decorative 'trishul' design on top and Lord Shiva 'mudras' on its faces.

I was blessed enough to have had the chance to visit this temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Jai Mahakal 🙏

1-2. Wat Phra Yai, commonly known as The Big Buddha Temple, is home to a giant, 12-metre-high gold-painted Buddha statue. Built in 1972, the statue depicts Buddha in a state of calm and purity and resolve, having overcome temptation and fear sent at him by Mara, Lord of Illusion.

3-4. Budai, a Chinese monk who is almost always shown smiling or laughing, hence his nickname the "Laughing Buddha". As he is traditionally depicted as overweight and many stories surrounding Budai involve his love of food and drink, he is also referred to as the "Fat Buddha", especially in the Western world.

5-6. In addition to the main statue, there are smaller shrines dedicated to Ganesha, Vishnu, Shiva and Sakka.

Koh Samui - The second largest island of Thailand, after phuket, is a tropical haven located in the Gulf of Thailand that boasts many lovely characteristics and qualities that once visited; one cannot help but fall in love with. Among the many islands in Thailand, it’s one of the most well-known destinations. 🌴

Koh Samui is a year-round destination if one does not mind the drizzling rain. We visited during the monsoon time in December, Samui can experience a storm and pouring rain but there is nothing to worry about as the sunshine is still plentiful. ⛅
