rd tutoring or lessons in a specific form they've shown aptitude for (For instance, music lessons or independent art classes), creative workshops for children in public schools, writing groups, community centers, and an emergency fund for creatives in crisis. GN Publishing:

Grace Notes is hell-bent on saving the world from decadence-- one great story at a time. Our mission is to nourish new talent, reward excellence, and help writers and other creatives achieve their dreams by giving them the tools to grow within their craft through feedback on both a peer and professional level, community, links, writing related classifieds, scam warnings, market research newsletters, and annual competitions. We offer publishing opportunities through NOTES Magazine, Grace Notes Books, and themed anthology projects. We do not have genre restrictions at Grace Notes but we prefer works that seek to combine the art of "literary" writing with the craft of "popular writing". Works with a powerful sense of character, an edgy sense of humor, or a unique perspective will be most likely to grab our attention. Tired themes like detective stories, romance, and horror fiction are less likely to impress-- yet these have still been among winning themes in our monthly competitions. We firmly believe that a unique style, a clever narrative voice, and creative ex*****on can breathe new life into any theme and we never discourage submissions based on genre. This organization was founded by writers with the intention of creating a single source for most (if not yet all) the needs of aspiring writers as well as a social network for established writers. We print high quality trade paperback with a special emphasis on collections of short story, creative essay, and poetry.
