We talk about Zehra going from fan to pro and how she influenced the creation of Shari in the SLG and Dynamite comic books. We also discuss Thom Adcox’s influence on how gargoyles sound, Brigitte Bako and her time in the industry as an actress, a writer, a producer, and a series creator all her own (and her hilarious Breaking Bad story!). Greg Weisman discusses working with all of these people, striving for representation on Gargoyles and his other shows. All of this and more!

In this episode of the Slott Sympoisum, a Spideydude Experience co-production in association with The Comic Binge YouTube Channel, Zach, and Paul are joined once again by Adam discussing the 4 issues of Amazing Spider-Man that Dan Slott wrote before he left the Brand New Day crew to jump aboard as the solo writer of Amazing Spider-Man in his BIG TIME era. In this story, they discuss the return of Mysterio, and how he survived his unaliving in the GUARDIAN DEVIL arc, as well as the resolution of the Devil’s Breath subplot from the beginning of the Brand New Day era. They have a lively debate about the merits of both Carlie Cooper and the use of continuity in comics and rank the Brand New Day writers. It’s the finale of the first Phase of the Slott Symposium! (Note: Zach does mention the story Slott co-wrote with Van Lente in the backups of 647.)

This Week's Comics! (By Zach)
ITEM! SPIDER-BOY continues to be a charming off-kilter all-ages romp that I feel plays into the strengths of Dan Slott's Spidey stuff. It's at its best when it's fun, and has that magical element that carries. Madam Web, Silk and Arana are fun as guest stars and the Leopardon stuff is really fun. I am intrigued by what comes next. This is a comic I can share with my kiddo and feel fine with.
ITEM! ASM 53 is... Bonkers. I'll speak more on this in a few weeks when we get the finale of this story, but for now... Todd The Art of Todd Nauck is AWESOME with Ed McGuinness. I hope he gets a bigger run sooner rather than later on ASM.
