In May, the art students at Dougherty installed a permanent art exhibit on the Fine Arts hallway in honor of Femi Anderson, a DCHS Alum and long-time supporter of Visual Art at Dougherty High. Today, the Renaissance Art Connection, founded by Femi, donated $1,000 to the DCHS Art Department. The funds will be used to support students on their trip to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻🤑

Dougherty High vs Monroe was a rivalry game played on a clear night, perfect football weather. The backdrop of which should've highlighted a beautiful performance by Larry Lane. He had 6 receptions for almost 200 yards (193 to be precise) and a TD, in the teams 45-12 victory. His contribution was definitely felt on this already star studded Trojans team. Salute to these young stars doing positive things in their community.

The Dougherty High Cross Country team competed in the Westover Invitational on Saturday, October 1st. The boys' team finished 5th as a team out of 17 teams. Jayden Miller finished 12th, Octavious Griffin 23rd, Jordan Miller 38th, Lamarian Harris 58th and Jason Baltazar 63rd out of 132 runners! The girl's team competed strong and finished in 14th place. Great Job, We Are Proud of You All! 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻
