《电影本事》
大马的中文电影业处于刚起步的阶段，感恩华人观众的热烈支持，如近年上映的《大日子woohoo！》、《初恋红豆冰》及《天天好天》就是近年甚为成功的电影范例。因此，《电影本事》更是希望与大马中文电影界齐步成长，在杂志内引荐国内外的电影制作、艺术、设计、摄影等娱乐及学术性并存的内容，为大马华人开拓全新的阅读电影资讯风气并提升读者/观众的品味鉴赏能力。除了定期邀请电影人全马跑透透、进入大专院校进行电影交流，让学子在学习之年就开始对电影艺术鉴赏有正确的认知，我们也会举办多项电影分享、workshop等交流活动，让大众也能共同参与。
此外，《电影本事》也致力于邀请海外资深电影人前来大马分享对电影的经验与态度，让我国对电影业有兴趣的读者多一个贴近及学习的机会。同时亦引入话题性及赏析度高的好电影，让大家得到更多不同类别电影的滋养，往后亦将陆续带给读者更多类似的活动与分享会。

“dir8tor award 2014 新导演计划”是由《电影本事》主催，余仁生敢动圆梦力挺，Astro联合主办，MY FM及MELODY FM全力支援，AirAsia成就梦想起飞，国内一线电影人护航，Back 2 Back Productions、台北影业、声色盒子、Big Bang & Fuzz、邦咯海岛节、GSC力挺，一项国内前所未见、着重于培养新一代优质电影人的培育计划。由于仅开放予在籍大专／大学学生参加，此举想必将成为校际间犹如奥斯卡般倍受推崇与瞩目的一大盛事。

At this early stage of development of Malaysian Chinese Movie Industry, MOVII insists on the principle of growing together with the industry. MOVII features infotainment & academic rich content of global as well as local Movie Productions, Art, Creative Designs and Photography, in mission to open up new movie-related reading culture of the local Chinese population and enrich the readers’ & audiences’ sense of appreciation. Meanwhile, we also committed to inviting local and foreign filmmakers to sharing experience and passion with readers and let them get opportunities on learning and get closer with the industry. And also, we will bring in movie in high appreciation, let readers get more nourishment of different types of movies, will gradually bring the reader get more of the same activities and sharing sessions in the future. dir8tor award 2014 , is a specially‐designed programme that aims to cultivate talented college/university students to be the next generation of filmmakers. Our media partners for this campaign are MYFM and MELODY FM. By gathering the funding from Eu Yan Sang Dream Fund, and the support from AirAsia, Taipei Postproduction, 3H Sound Studio, Big Bang & Fuzz, Pangkor Island Festival, GSC, as well as Malaysia’s top filmmakers, we believed that this campaign will be a highly regarded interscholastic event in Malaysia.
