المسلسل تدور احداثه فى اطار اجتماعى شيق و يعتمد فى ابطاله على مجموعه من الوجوه الشابه الجديده من مختلف أرجاء الوطن العربي، من لبنان والسعودية ومصر وغيرها، وهناك حرص من خلال الاحداث على مناقشة القضايا الخاصة بالشباب في هذه البلدان؛ منها الإدمان، والتشدد والاعتدال في التدين، ورؤية الشباب إلى الزواج والمسؤولية، وممارسة العمل السياسي داخل الجامعة، والعلاقات العاطفية، إضافة إلى مشكلات المرأة السعودية..
العمل، تم تصويره بكاميرا واحدة وطريقة سينمائية و أهم ما يميز العمل أن كل فنان يتكلم بلهجة بلاده؛ حيث تمت الاستعانة بمصحح لهجات من كل بلد لتعديل السيناريو، الذي كتب في البداية باللهجة المصرية

Al Jami3a is a new hard hitting drama series, dealing with Arab youth issues and their struggle to achieve a better life for themselves. The drama deals with serious issues such as relationships, drugs, gender issues, mutual respect and understanding, as well as day-to-day issues that affect the youth in this part of the world.
