A track that I worked on with .munday.music over 10 years ago in my spare room before children arrived into our lives.

This was a great collaboration and I remember really exploring the song with Jay in order to get the best out his voice, as he has such a natural talent.

He’s been away for a while now but I’m glad to see that he has rediscovered his fire to write and perform. Keep an eye out for new music but in the meantime, check out an alternative version of ‘illusions’.

Last nights visit to listen to Geddy Lee was a bit of an unexpected one. At each venue, Geddy has had somebody interview him to discuss the book etc. Our interviewer was none other than Alex Lifeson of Rush. These two were great!

Recording guitars can be analogue, with amps and mics, it can be digital with plugins or hardware. Any of these can give excellent results and there has never been more choice. In this article Robbie Dwyer considers some of the options.

A little article I wrote about a recent project where we committed sounds due to the brief, but also took advantage of technology available to benefit both me as the recording engineer, but more importantly, to allow the band to do what they do best.

Working through, editing and comping these vocals that I recorded with Jhelisa last night for a project via Steinberg VST CONNECT.

Remote recording is an incredible thing. It still amazes me that she is 4500 miles away and we are able to record (with ease) stacks of vocals!

Very privileged to have been a part of this and it is at an incredibly reasonable price.

Believe me, although this is a low priced plugin, it is immensely powerful.
