As a child of God, your motive for every desire and every act has to be properly checked to make sure it's not sponsoring your flesh but instead feeding the Spirit and has an eternal value (which means it adds value to the kingdom of God).

John 3:30- He MUST increase, but I MUST decrease.
This is the constant posture the believer (A child of the Almighty God). Our constant decrease in our self and constant INCREASE in HIM is a state that is non-negotiable in our walk with God. If we really want to be like CHRST, we constantly have to INCREASE in our knowledge of HIM until He is fully formed in us.
God wants you to trust His plan
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:8-9

You cannot fight spiritual battles with physical weapons. A spiritual battle needs a spiritual weapon. Many of us use the wrong weapon for spiritual battles. The believer's weapons are God's word, Praise, Prayer, Worship,Thanksgiving, Faith. These weapons are spiritual and they are MIGHTY through God and only God to pull down the strongholds of the enemy.
2 Corinthians 10:4 - For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
You are not helpless dear believer, ARISE and use the weapons your heavenly father has given you.

The Father's love is so deep, so wide, so high beyond we can imagine. His love brings us to repentance and calls us back to our original position and sense in Him.
Regardless of how far you've gone, you are still within His reach. You are never too far gone from your heavenly Father.
Jesus is waiting to receive you back home. You might be prodigal but you are still his son/daughter and He has a place for you in His kingdom.
