I'm Back... Sorta

Wow it's been a few months, I never intended to be gone this long but life threw some curveballs.

Still, I'm not one to be down for long and y'all don't care about that stuff anyway...

So! On to the good stuff!

New build sorta? lol, It's a revamp. Dipping my toes back in with a forum challenge. The objective was to redo an old lot utilizing things you didn't have when it was first built.

I chose my favorite older build.. "Cedar Cottage" and got to work
The glow-up is real on this one and it's definitely my favorite again!

The outside was completely overhauled; new windows, walls floor, and lush landscaping to really evoke that country feel.

I used free window placements, modular stairs, and platforms, and the inside has been furnished unlike the original.

Hey everyone! Just celebrated my birthday! Can you believe another year has gone by?

I'm excited to share this cool project I've been working on—a build inspired by a LEGO miniature set I stumbled upon. I call it "The Derivative."

It features four unique units, a cozy café/bar on the ground floor, and even a mini playground. I've play-tested it, and now it's ready for some fun! Hope you enjoy playing with it as much as I did creating it!

If the layout seems familiar it's because the model is based on the "Friends TV show", specifically Central Perk and 2 of the iconic apartments so it's similar. Just so you know, it is not a 1-1 so don't @ me.

Anyway, I recently had a sim join the Interior decorator career and so in keeping with having real locales for rabbit holes, I whipped up this quick modern (read as a bunch of boxes) design firm that I can have my sim visit after her gigs!

So, the experiment's going pretty well! Thanks to For Rent, we've got these cool multi-residences with shared spaces.

I kinda went all out and created this mini open-world vibe.

Picture it: six apartments, plus spots like a bar, cafe, movie theater, and even a community center with a banquet hall. It's the perfect setup to give your Simmies that lively community feel.

We're all aware that circular walls can be problematic. I'm sure many of you have experienced spending a considerable amount of time constructing a round overwater bungalow, only to find that most of the space is inaccessible due to a known glitch. Well, I've been through the same ordeal. After much tinkering, I discovered that this issue seems to be confined to the first floor. In my limited testing, I found that duplicating your floor plan and using the first floor as the foundation resolves the issue. It's not the most elegant solution, and perhaps someone will discover a better workaround eventually, but for now, it's the best I've got. Happy simming! - manicpot8to
