SparKyL Entertainment, Inc. presents August Wilson’s Pulitzer-prize and Tony-award winning play.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Vince Farmer

STAGE MANAGER: Hillary Humphries

VENUE: Wayne Densch Performing Arts, Sanford, FL
SHOW RUN: March 15 – March 16, 2025
PAY: Actors will be paid. Details discussed upon casting offer.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals begin in January 2025. Final schedule will be determined by actor conflict. Only local, non-union talent will be considered.

SYNOPSIS: Troy Maxson, one of the greatest characters of American theater, has stepped up to the plate too many times in his life only to go down swinging. Shut out of the big leagues by prejudice, the former Negro League homerun king is now a garbage collector just trying to make a living and do right by his family. When his youngest son shows promise on the high school football team, Troy must come to terms with his past disappointments or risk tearing his family apart.

AUDITION INFORMATION
AUDITION (VIDEO): Prepare and email a video recording of a monologue from the show, no more than two (2) minutes. Actors should make their own choices within the context of the script. All audition videos should be submitted no later than November 10th, 2024.

-Submissions should include a slate that includes the actor's name and role of interest.
-Monologue should be submitted as one, unedited take. While performing/recording the audition monologue, actors should stand and look directly at the camera.
-Any monologue from the show will be accepted. Several monologues from the show, also, available at www.sparkylentertainment.com.
-Submissions should be emailed to [email protected].
-Be sure to include “Fences Audition - Role” in the subject line.
-Submissions should include actor resume as an additional attachment.

CALLBACKS: Will be held in person.

Naomi Morris is having somewhat of an identity crisis. People have told her how awful of a man her dad was...but, she doesn't remember him in that way. They have, also, told her that she'd end up just like him, which has made her determined to find out the truth.

The final performance of our "Mr. Charlie" cast of Bobby Lee Blood was amazing! We are very proud of each of the six actors💕🎭

Our "Jolene" cast will finish out our 2024 Orlando Fringe run. See them this weekend (May 25th and May 26th).

SparKyL Entertainment, Inc's production of Bobby Lee Blood goes up again tonight at the Orlando Fringe. It's a late show, but short and soooo worth it.

The ticket to tonight's late show is only $6. The show is only 60 minutes (or less). You will still make it back home for a good night's rest.
