Until further notice, I will be intermittently sharing Seattle and Laos/travel content. I love Laos + Southeast Asia as well as Seattle + Pacific Northwest - two of the most beautiful corners of the world! ❤️🌎✌🏽

After visiting the National Museum we had lunch at a local restaurant that specializes in fish dishes. This was our second visit to this place. Celebrity foodie Mark Wiens also visited this place years ago and the food made his eyes pop. (Then again, what food doesn’t?) 🤣😋

This restaurant is situated at the tip of the peninsula where the Mekong and Khan rivers meet. You can see the contrast in colors where these waters merge. This restaurant is highly popular with local and tourists alike. The signage is in Lao only. Little to no marketing with no Chinese or English on the restaurant sign here.

Following lunch we cruised around town on scooters. One of the highlights of the day was the Mekong River sunset cruise. Terrific food and drinks with amazing ambiance. Wonderful traditional Lao performances on the river at sunset made for a perfect evening in LPB. 🇱🇦🫶

Dubbed the Switzerland of Laos, Vang Vieng is the adventure capitol of this green, laid back Southeast Asian country. Caves, lagoons, hot air balloons, amazing sunsets, and terrific coffee - this city has it all and should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list. Amanda and I have enjoyed relaxing and adventuring around in this city, located just 45 minutes via train ride from Vientiane (capitol city).

Hoping to make a video soon about how to get to Vang Vieng, where to stay, what to do, tips, etc.

Also, we’ll be back in Seattle in January and Seattle + ‘Merica content will be returning then!😁✌️
