I’ve been feeling a lot more inspired to create and share lately. there was a while where this was lacking quite a bit and I’m glad to say it feels like we’re coming up from that more and more everyday. Wanted to do a little appreciate post for life lately ✨

a set from an evening along the coast in 2023. It looks a lot warmer than it felt - but I think these photos captured the childlike wonder of simply being. We ended up burning some time running around, playing in the water and catching a chill after being hit by a wave much bigger than expected. Thankful to have these to look back on ✨🌙

October 10th 2024. (Because we shot all of these before midnight 👀👀)

We headed to Peyto as our second spot and took some photos, wandering around finding frames for a while. We were about to call it and move on, but decided to wait just a few minutes longer. After 10-15 minutes, we watched the sky explode overhead.

Gotta say this night made me like Peyto a lot more again 🌙✨

after several days of rain, we arrived at thunder cove and planned to shoot. always has the best attitude and had no issue posing in spite of heavy wind and light rain still making its way through the clouds. I spent a long time unsure of how to approach the editing on these, but they’re exactly what I had hoped for after a year of waiting and finally re approaching them.

slowing down.

Summer has been so enjoyable but I’m really enjoying the weather turning to fall, things slowing down and cozying up inside on rainy days. I’m feeling creatively re-energized (actually in all areas of life) and it’s nice to be striking a balance between staying busy and having moments of quiet.

On our second day at , I went to check out the steam room, sauna, and cold plunge tub. I can’t get over how beautiful this place is - every small detail has been carefully curated and selected to show the energy and careful thought behind creating this experience. I knew before our trip that this was an area of the hotel I was excited to try out and create images for. Would you want to stay here?

A little throwback to one of my favourite sets with one of my favourite people ✨ This was one of those days where we didn’t plan to shoot at all, but everything just kind of came together beautifully with conditions, inspiration and timing. I’m lucky to have great friends always down to shoot on a whim like this and help me bring a vision to life.

another favourite from our trip to Assiniboine this time last year. Everytime I go back to edit more images from this gallery I’m blown away by the landscapes. It’s one of those places that doesn’t feel real even when you’re there. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a burner of a hike!

clarity - burnout part II.

I’m beyond stoked to share the second part of this project with ! We created this using two of their new Pavotube II 15XR lights, along with two waterproof housings. We set up both lights in stands on the sand and backlit the waves crashing over a stone wall barrier to create the images in this set. Honestly there is something so spooky about sitting in the dark hearing the wave coming and not knowing if it’ll be tiny or DRENCH you, but we had such a fun time creating these. These products are so easy to use and helped us light this set perfectly to create the ambience we needed to bring this story together. I’m going to be sharing a behind the scenes breakdown of how we achieved these images and how helped us overcome creative burnout to create art. I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks.

Huge thank you to for helping me with this set and listening to my nitpicky directing during this wild experience. It was a late night and took some time to get done, but I’m thrilled with how it came out.
