We are pleased to announce the incredible MD of , has joined the Hatch Films Industry Board.

‘Increasing diversity in the British entertainment industry is both a moral and creative imperative. Growing up in Hull in the late ‘80s and ‘90s, I had no representation of my queerness on film and TV, and forging a career within it, seemed impossible. Hatch Films amplifies diverse voices and stories, investing in and training talent that enriches our cultural landscape and inspires future generations. This work is crucial for showing that our industry is for everyone, and it’s an honour to join the Advisory board to support its mission.’ - Daniel Maynard

Our Industry Board is made up of key individuals that truly support our mission beyond kind words. They help us shape what we do to increase our impact and move our mission forward. Welcome Dan!

The script:

MTNA (pronounced Martina) is a darkly comedic and provocative short film that illuminates the real life misogynoir that women of colour experience in the music industry. Inspired by writer/creator Jamila’s personal experiences as a mixed race actress, this film is a comment on how the music industry exploits and treats their artists and how when one no longer benefits the system you are discarded!

Carousel, Charlotte Street
Tickets available via Eventbrite (link in bio)
