Last Month we lost a dear friend this is an excerpt from her obituary.
" And, boy, did she love to have fun! Paulie loved a good party and could usually be found having a puff and belting out a bluegrass tune wherever her beloved friends with guitars gathered."
This recording is from a party in Ship Harbour Feb/8/2004
The song is I'll Fly Away. with Grammie PJ Shawn Fultz Buster Boudreau Sonny Fultz. This was a Paulie song and listening to this I feel she believed what she was singing.
Some bright morning when this life is over
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
When the shadows of this life have gone
I'll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls I'll fly
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
Oh, how glad and happy when we meet
I'll fly away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
Just a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To a land where joys will never end
I'll fly away
I'll fly away, fly away, oh glory
I'll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away
I'll fly away
