FALCON FESTIVAL 3 DAYS MEGA KARNAI ANGLING COMPETITION-2024

A three days 'Mega Karnai Angling Competition' is all set to be held on the 13th, 14th and 15th of December at Golf Field near Cricket Stadium, Umrangso as an activity align to the grand celebration 10th Edition of Falcon Festival-2024.

The event is being organised by Dima Hasao Angling and Rafting Association (DHARA) under the initiative of Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa.

Like every year, with an aim to promote angling as sports and to create a healthy and responsible fishing community, this time the angling competition has been held at a new location to attract fishing enthusiast and visitors.

The event is jointly supported by the Department of Forest and Environment, Dima Hasao, Fishery Department, Dima Hasao and Fishingmonk, tackle shop from Angamaly, Kerala.

Team DHARA heartily welcomes all of the angler community brothers, sisters and friends to come and participate in this competition and also at the same time enjoy the ambience and vibes of the Falcon Festival 2024.

Exciting cash prizes are in line up and awaits you all from Day 1 to Day 3. Anglers choosing to fish for multiple days can bring their own tent or book one with us in advance. So, hurry! ready up your fishing gears to be a part of something big…!!

On duty Doctor of Maibang CHC threatened: FIR lodged Deputy superintendent, Maibang CHC lodged an FIR to the officer incharge, Maibang Police station, Maibang.The FIR stated that Three persons Under the influence of alcohol came to Maibang Hospital at about 2.00 a.m. on 28/11/2024 and broken the door of hospital and misbehaved and threatened on duty Doctor and other staffs without any reason. Many people condemned the incident and sought for strict action against the perpetrators.

Haflong: One person was spot dead after a tractor he was driving run over him due to an accident at Dimbrucherra under Harangajao Police station.

Sources said that the deceased person was handyman of the tractor.

The identity of the deceased could be assertain till filling of this report.

The body was taken to Haflong civil hospital for autopsy.
