This Saturday, 25th October , sees the official launch of Guisborough poppy appeal ❤️
Our red poppy is a symbol of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.
The launch will take place at Sunnyfield House Community Centre at 1000 hrs, where we have the honour of veteran William (Bill) Bowes in attendance, who will buy the first poppy.
Bill is the current chairman of the Guisborough branch of The Green Howard's Association.
The Sea Cadets and the Army Cadets will also be in attendance.
Also a big thank you to some amazing volunteers who will be selling poppies and a range of poppy merchandise, at Morrisons and Sainsbury's in Guisborough, and Asda at Skelton, starting in Morrisons on Monday 27th.
Morrisons- 27th 29th 31st Oct, 4th 6th Nov
Sainsbury's- 28th 30th Oct, 3rd 5th 7th Nov
Asda- 1st and 8th Nov

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have a community safety drop in for Guisborough.

• Friday 24 October, 1pm -2pm, Sunnyfield House, 36 Westgate, Guisborough TS14 6BA

This session will give residents and local businesses the opportunity to meet with officers from the local neighbourhood policing team and from our antisocial behaviour and community safety team to discuss concerns they have for safety in their area.

It will also be a chance to provide feedback on what could be done to help make the town centre and the ward a safer place to visit and live in.
