“Notes on stone and bronze, ritual and rhythm” - Taylor Dewar (designer & artist)

Initial Inspiration:
The last poster lingered on the carved stone balls of 1400 BC — enigmatic forms whose meaning is still uncertain. This time I wanted to trace the thread forward, from stone to bronze, to see how mystery survives across ages.

The Discovery:
In Scotland in Pagan Times (Joseph Anderson, 1883–1886), I found the Bronze Shield from Lugtonridge, Ayrshire. Its concentric hammered surface drew me in — an object that is at once weapon, symbol, and ceremony.

The Mystery:
The shield’s grooves resemble a record, carrying rhythm within its circles. It felt like a natural connection to PARIAH, EM+STAV and PSEUDOPOLIS - DJs who transform repetition into ritual, channeling energy in ways not unlike the shield’s imagined ceremonies.

Redstone Press:
From stone to bronze, from artifact to sound, from archive to dancefloor — this shield became the inevitable continuation of the journey, this time with Timescape.
