The Belgian imprint takes a trip across the channel and up to Glasgow & Edinburgh for a self titled “record label dweebs meet-up”. Will we all lament the price of pressing records/shipment delay/brexit…? Without doubt. We will also however be playing music in both cities over the course of the 12/13th of July. For those who like percussive earworms, bass driven rattlers, swampy sonics and blissed out synth solos…

"Celebrating our tenth release, we proudly present "Feeling Everything, All At Once" - a compelling VA compilation featuring music from our current label family and introducing some talented debutants from Scotland.

RED010 marks a powerful statement of intent as we look to the next five years and beyond whilst reflecting on our achievements so far, what we aspire to accomplish and how we can continue to push the sounds that resonate with us. Although it has taken time to reach this milestone, our commitment to quality over quantity remains unwavering.

This compilation serves not only as a collection of club-ready tracks but also as a longform piece suitable to more passive listening. With a total of 14 tracks, it stands as our most extensive release yet, expanding our label family to well over 20 artists. The digital release will be complemented by a physical cassette, perfect for playing in the dusty tape deck of your mate's Vauxhall Corsa as you head to that mad rave in the countryside everyone is talking about.

We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) on this project with all the profits being donated to this cause. Both Lewis & Ethan have their own personal experiences with mental health difficulties and strongly believe that SAMH is absolutely vital in facilitating the provision and promotion of mental health care, support & information.

RP family .robertson91 is running the Edinburgh Marathon in May this year and is raising money for - a charity dedicated to helping those with PSP, a neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in a particular part of the brain.

From now until the marathon we will be toting up all digital sales (excluding processing fees from PayPal/bandcamp) of his EP “Village Of Killin” and donating it as a lump sum to PSPA after the marathon.

2022 was an insane year here at RP HQ, we really jumped into it with both feet. Turning 5 years old, putting out 300% more records than any other year prior, hosting parties and both of us personally having the busiest year of our lives to date!

Here’s a roundup of the records we managed to release and the parties we hosted. Plus a pic from a very early Redstone Press brainstorming session from over 5 years ago!

Thanks to every person who has helped us get to this point, all the incredible musicians and artists we’ve had the privilege of working with and of course everyone who has supported the label through jamming to the music, buying it, playing it and dancing to it all over the globe.

We’ll be back next year with more of the same, maybe even more (if we can hack it)!

Redstone Press celebrates its fifth year in action with one last release in this, their busiest year to date. Debba’s signature beatwork and melodic flourishes are given space to breathe with the dreamy synths of ‘Subtle’ building up, then breaking down into a low-slung pitched down UK Techno roller.

Rounding off our fifth year with another label debut. London based legend Debba comes correct with a varied 4 tracker laden with hefty subs and lock tight percussion.

The A-side starts out with fast-paced staccato kicks and the oscillating, warped bassline of ‘Called Up’. These elements soon develop into a twisted, energetic romp, showing Debba’s innate knack for upfront, low-end percussive work. Continuing with this theme ‘Direction’ adds reverb drenched vocals to the mix and ups the bass weight, with gritty, looping subs throughout. These two will put that soundsystem you’re dreaming of playing on to the test!

The B-side is more restrained and meditative but retains the heavy subs, opening with the downtempo and introspective chords of ‘I Said’. The drop in pace gives Debba’s signature beatwork and melodic flourishes space to breathe with the dreamy synths of ‘Subtle’ building up, then breaking down into a low-slung UK Techno roller.

Right, birthday over. We’re back to regular programming and continuing to pinch ourselves that we have the bold AKA on a record we’ve put out!

Before announcing the last record of the year we wanted to shine a light on the artwork and design created by for our most recent release.

Drawing inspiration from the CalMac ferry maps around western Scotland, the design on the front sleeve is a mixture of these maps and topographical mapping layered together.

As with all of our artwork there is a subtle geographical vibe to it, have a look at all the others and see if you see what we are babbling on about.

‼️Some information ahead of this Saturdays party ‼️

We have secured (as already mentioned) the brilliant Bass Warrior Soundsystem, run by Ira and his legend of a mum Caroline Murphy. This system is truly a family affair with Ira’s dad building the thing from scratch in a dentist’s basement and then passing the torch onto Ira a few years ago. The ethos surrounding Bass Warrior is community and family and we chose it for that reason, that and cos it sounds sick! Ira and Caroline have been perfecting the sound over the last few years and have the stacks singing so come and stick your head in a bin (definitely not advised) 🔈

We have also secured some delicious savoury and sweet baked snacks for the first folks through the door! These have been lovingly made by in Edinburgh and are a taste of what is to come when she opens her new bakery “Lannan” in February next year. First come first served and these won’t last so make sure to arrive early if you wanna bite 🥐

We’ve added a wee map of the area and ways in which you can get there by public transport. It’s also a short walk from Cowcaddens Subway station and 10mins from town.

Lastly we’ve got some 1of1 RP merch to give away to the very first couple of folks, the rest will be on sale on the night alongside some RP stock we’ve hunted down. Maybe even some forthcoming stuff…

We’re so excited to see in our birthday with .t and hope you can all join us! This may be the first and last party we do…! 🫠

Introducing the last of our out of town guests, Abena!

Having lucked into catching them play twice this year at We Out Here & Field Maneuvers we knew straight away that their sound would fit perfectly at Redstone Press. With one foot firmly planted in low end weight and the other tapping to just about whatever jams Abena is a deft hand who can weave intricate and engaging energies together that will leave you open mouthed and trying to figure out what just happened! They recently graced Junglehussi’s Papaya Whip party where we became firm friends over a love of dub, s**t talking, voluminous whatsapp threads of tunes and very questionable patter and all of this will be summed up on November 12th. Abena will be jumping on the train from Manny on Friday 11th and joining us at the Rubadub instore before the main event so a great chance to ask them about their not-so-well known hobby of competitive cat training…

Back again with another artist highlight, this time the unparalled iona!�2014’s National Fish & Chips Award reviewer iona returns to the RP booth for another (merry) go round. Part of the fabric of Field Maneuvers and all that encompasses, she firmly sits at the helm of fun when playing. Everything and anything goes and it’s this spirit that has left us completely gobsmacked everytime we hear her play. Relatively new to the RP family iona has left such a large mark on us that we couldn’t not have her back for the birthday party. Having cut her teeth at spots like Panorama Bar, The Cause, Kala Festival and most recently blown the kids minds at the Two Shell Party at MOT in London she is perfectly primed do the same on November 12th, for what will be her second ever appearance in Glasgow!

Really can’t believe it’s already been 5 years and that we’ve managed to put out our favourite music in that time. Thanks to all the artists we’ve worked with, every person who has bought a record, a digi ep/song, played the music and enjoyed it or supported us in any way. It’s been a trip, long may it continue!

A close knit few of our favourite people are coming to Glasgow to help us celebrate and we’d love you to be there!
