This year we did our first short film. "Penance" was a ten minute narrative that followed a thief who went too far. We made it for Winterfilm, LLC and got 11 nominations and 3 awards! Maybe we should do this short film thing more.

Well, it's been awhile! While you haven't heard from us in awhile, we've been busy creating some of the coolest projects to date. We are a small team based out of Columbus, Ohio. We create content. That can be a video, a website, a magazine, or even an immersive-experience based off data! The whole point is to steal attention! Make yourself irresistible! (Main Character Energy is what the kids are saying)

Had an absolute blast working with the uber-talented Emily Syring on her BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO for "All This Time," streaming now!

☀️ With themes of light, Heaven, revelation and realization running thoughout the song, our goal was to really nail the lighting and atmosphere to do the lyrics justice.

As in life, it's all about balance. Video color correction breathes life into footage and that's what we tweaked until we got there.

In a world where there is no shortage of information and literally anything is just one Google search, YouTube video or white paper away, the scarcity exists in the form of people that can package it neatly, explain it simply and tell people *why* it’s important.

What do you VALUE?

This video is from a shoot for one of our favorite outdoor brands we’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, Hammock Gear.

The video is four years old and is *still* in use as the primary explainer video on their online shop’s product page. Woohoo!

Reflecting on the longevity of this vid, it got us thinking about some things from this shoot. Here’s 3 nugs we’ve learned since this puppy went live.

1️⃣ - This vid should have cost 10x more than it did. We ate the cost and busted our ass because we needed the work. That was us.
2️⃣ - At the time of shooting, the 10x too small budget felt, for the client, like it was 10x more than they could stretch and spend! That was them.
3️⃣ - The video worked, the product sold, and the client has made back their initial investment more than 20x.

So what’d we learn? Figuring out what we VALUE and working from that place on every project is essential. Do we value the experience more than the budget? The relationship more than the bottom line? Or is it valuing ourselves enough to charge what we’re worth and backing it up with a world class end product?

It’s a balance, to be sure, and one we’re working through constantly as a scrappy agile team of creators.

Have a break. Have a Kit Kat.

It’s so ubiquitous to culture, that you don’t even need to say the words for people to finish the thought for you.

And that’s precisely what Sam Hennig picked up on in creating this not-an-actual-Kit-Kat-ad-but-probably-the-best-Kit-Kat-ad ever.

It’s timeless Kit Kat and its message is so…now.

And that part’s great, but what really captured our hearts and minds was just *how* this ad came to be.

The story behind how Sam’s post came to be shared over 70,000 times (and then tens of thousands of other times on appreciation posts just like this one) involves teamwork, collaboration and how a group of creatives has weaponized the spec ad for the good of all mankind.

If you know, you know.

Sometimes your message doesn't have to have the bells and whistles.

Sometimes it just takes one clear message, delivered with conviction, standing in the middle of a cornfield to become the stuff of local legend.

Just one message. One time. To get embedded into the cultural fabric of a place for all time.

The thing we love about this billboard is that it's seemingly been around foooooreeeeverrrrr (*Sandlot voice*)

It's inspired t-shirts, tattoos, cross-stiches, and intra-state soccer rivalries.

People know about this sign.

I think it speaks to doing just one thing well, over and over and over again, and not getting too caught up in the fluff.

This is the content we need after the year we all had. Have you blown through "History of Swear Words" on Netflix yet?

The trailer may be the single greatest teaser trailer we've ever seen. It uses the extraordinary talents and weirdness of a true national treasure, Nicolas Cage, paired with an ominous swelling drum beat to usher in a barbaric yawp of a swear so foul we couldn't help but look away.

We went all in on binging the six episodes because we couldn't not with that introduction.
