Only one month to go until my next event at Wark Town Hall on Saturday 13th July - Doors 7.00pm.

I have two special guests who are both quite excellent but very different:-

Chris James - he has been on the scene for as long as I can remember. Certainly we have gigged together from the 1990s. He is without doubt one of the finest blues and ragtime guitarists in the north of the UK. Expect spectacular guitar playing and some bottleneck thrown in as he plays some classics by the ragtime and blues masters of the 1920 & 30s.

Wild Sparrow - is a female harmony duo from North Cumbria. They are Alison Watson and Sheila Cassidy and they sing a mix of contemporary and traditional folk, roots and Americana songs. They have been steadily getting noticed on the scene in Cumbria and recently wowed the audience at Maddy Prior's Forgotten Lands Festival. Expect beautiful melodies and haunting harmonies.

It is an all cash event. Also bring cash for drinks and the raffle - there is always a raffle.

Tickets £10 - Reservation essential - to reserve tickets simply message me by email or facebook and your name will be on seats when you arrive - then pay cash on the door.

I had to order some more 32gb data sticks to make up some new ukulele teaching packs as I was out of series 1 & 2.

I now have them all in stock.

I had fun checking that all was working on the datasticks by watching the videos through my smart TV ... I was quite taken by the presenter 😉

Seriously though if you want to buy someone a Christmas present to help a friend learn ukulele then don't leave it too long as Christmas is fast approaching.

The second time we filmed at Music on the Marr festival 'The East Pointers' were one of the headline bands and they allowed us to use their track 'Meals For Morris' as the music for the festival video.

It features some great banjo playing by the great Koady Chaisson who sadly died last week much too soon.

We had a great day filming 'Wolfred' at the brilliant Blank Studios a couple of weeks back.

They played three songs 'Live' which were recorded - They sounded great.

You may not have heard of Wolfred but you might recognise some of the faces :)
