It is our right and duty to ourselves to make self-care a priority. Self care is not just physical appearance. It is more so the mental health part. To me that is the most important and where a lot of women get it wrong.
Your mental health is more important than anything, without it, you will not be able to find balance and run your business properly.
The above is just a sample routine to give an idea of how a morning should start. Some of us with children must get up earlier than most to get things done before the children are due to wake up. Yes, laziness sets in and sometimes we don't want to get up, however, it is necessary if you need balance and peace of mind in your life and business.

Routines are hard to come by or master for that matter.
Yes, we are women, yes we can multitask, yes we can solve the problems, make the meals, run the errands, run the business, be there for our tribe, console the women in our groups or that simply follow us because they love us...
Who then cares for us though?
Who takes the time to see if we are okay?
Who loves on us after we have loved on everyone else?
We give all that we can give because we are awesome that way. When does it end though? Is there a cutoff to how much we should be giving?
No matter if you are married, in a relationship, situationship ship, partnership or the like, no one can love on us as we can. To love on yourself is to love yourself unconditionally and without judgement.
It does not matter what you have done or undone in the past. We must take time to process what was. Let the feelings show themselves and then let it go and focus on change.
We can not do that if we don't take time for ourselves. This is a must because we will eventually break and we can't have that. Do you know why??
It is because most of us women have little people that depend on us. Most of us have a life that we are trying to create. Most of us want to end the "struggle".
If this is you, let's solve this by supporting each other and showing this world what we are made of.

There are so many things that I would do differently to start my self-care journey.
However, the main 3 things I would have done first is...
1. Acknowledge that I wasn't showing up as my best self.
By not showing up as my most beautiful self and making the world see me for me and not worry about what they think of me or just allowing imposter syndrome to take over and start feeling like I can't be "that girl" simply because I don't have a certain body type or the clearest skin on the planet, really held me back in so many ways. I would have worked on this first.
2. Stop allowing others to dictate how my day and night went.
Some people that you know are not really in it to be your friend. Some people are in your company simply because they don't have anyone else to keep them company. I knew a lot of people like that. They would only call when they needed something or wanted to go somewhere but didn't want to go alone. It didn't matter the time of day or night, they felt like it was okay to call me simply because I allowed it. I would have put a stop to this before starting my journey.
3. Stop allowing people to get away with slick left-handed compliments or underhanded insults.
You know the kind that goes over your head when you first hear it and then when you get home you double back and say "did she say ...?". Yeah, those types of comments. I would have addressed them upon recognizing what was said, even if it was a day later. I always kept silent but that is not healthy. So I would have let people know what didn't sit right with me.
Lacking self-care is a real thing. All of us suffer from it in one form or another. As women we must put our self-care first, before anything or anyone else.
What have you let people get away with in the past & how did you correct it?

The following are things that we need to stop ignoring, and start paying attention to. There is no excuse for behaviors such as these. we must be determined to grow, thrive, show up as our best self. In order to do that, we have to work on ourselves, and it is very important that we do not ignore the small things.
Neglecting basic needs
Over indulgence and unhealthy habits
Ignoring emotional needs
Isolating yourself
Comparison and perfectionism
Over committing and overworking
Avoidance of professional help

Practice Self-Accountability: Acknowledge your own role and responsibility in how you perceive and treat yourself. Instead of blaming others for your lack of self-respect, focus on what actions you can take to improve your self-esteem and self-worth.
Reflect on Patterns: Take time to reflect on situations where you've blamed others for your lack of self-respect. Identify patterns or triggers that lead to this behavior, and explore underlying reasons for why you may be deflecting responsibility.
Cultivate Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with kindness and understanding, especially when you make mistakes or face challenges. Recognize that everyone has moments of self-doubt and insecurity, and practice self-compassion rather than self-criticism.
Set Healthy Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries in your relationships and interactions with others. Communicate your needs and expectations assertively, and hold yourself accountable for enforcing boundaries that protect your self-respect and well-being.
Focus on Personal Growth: Instead of dwelling on past mistakes or blaming others, channel your energy into personal growth and self-improvement. Set goals for yourself, engage in activities that nurture your self-esteem, and celebrate your progress along the way.

As women we must make it a priority to level up and always stay on point. Life as well as people will bring negativity and disappointment to us, but how we handle it is what will make or break us. We must always be learning, beautifying ourselves as well as maintaining poise, grace and positivity. Do not let people in your life that donβt belong. Make your life the best you can and align yourself with those that make you feel good. πΉπΉ
Here are five effective ways to help control your emotions:
Mindfulness and Meditation:
Practice mindfulness and meditation to become more aware of your thoughts and emotions. Techniques such as deep breathing and focused meditation can help you stay grounded and calm. Regular mindfulness practice can enhance your ability to observe your emotions without reacting impulsively.
Emotional Expression and Communication:
Find healthy outlets for expressing your emotions. Talking to a friend, family member, or therapist can provide valuable support and perspective. Open communication allows you to share your feelings, reducing the internal pressure that can lead to emotional overwhelm.
Develop Emotional Intelligence:
Cultivate emotional intelligence by understanding and identifying your emotions. Recognize the triggers that lead to specific emotional responses. This self-awareness enables you to address emotions at their roots, fostering better control over your reactions.
Create Healthy Habits:
Prioritize activities that contribute to emotional well-being. Regular exercise, proper nutrition, and sufficient sleep play crucial roles in regulating emotions. Engaging in activities you enjoy, practicing self-compassion, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle can help create a foundation for emotional stability.
Pause and Reflect:
Before reacting impulsively to a situation, give yourself a moment to pause and reflect. This brief interruption allows you to step back, assess the situation objectively, and choose a thoughtful response instead of reacting based on intense emotions. Techniques such as counting to ten or taking deep breaths can be helpful in creating this pause.
