I'm producing a big experiment right now as I build out our for "Uncle Bully's Surf Skool" this year. Ideally we would have partners + sponsors before I book screenings and events, but we don't have time to wait - this film needs to be seen NOW. Lahaina burned to the ground in August and this film has the potential to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Maui relief and recovery...it's going to be a LONG road.

Everyone who sees this film is inspired to ACT in their own communities and inspired to GIVE to help others. The time is NOW. Will you join us?

Anatomy of a Film Pivot.

In Feb last year we finished as a 30-minute film, perfect for that festival "short-film-sweet-spot". Then, on Aug 8, wildfires devastated our island (Maui) and Lahaina Town burned to the ground. Many people in our film lost everything, including Bully. In the aftermath, we felt compelled to pick up our cameras and film a new "ending" to the movie. So we finished the film AGAIN and added 10 mins...new audio finishing, new color-timing, new DCP...you get the idea.

We know this was the "right" thing to do. But we still haven't paid for it. We just DID it, because that's what needed to happen. So now we're playing catch up.

What would you have done? Films don't get finished by themselves.
