507 Entertainments, founded by R&B sensation Josue "Unik" Badet as a nonprofit group in Jun 2010 is Philadelphia and Haiti's premier Haitian/Caribbean entertainment group. Unik has been a singer, song writer, composer, and actor in the Philadelphia area for the past decade and have travelled all over the country performing on tour with artists like Rick Ross, Young Joc, Cassidy, and close friend J
immy-o who unfortunately passed during the earthquake which occurred in Haiti on Jan 12, 2010. While sitting in a small basement playing dominos with some of his close friends in a hot summer, Unik was inspired by the passing of his friend/music partner Jimmy-o who was signed with hip-hop pioneer Wyclef Jean before his passing, and decided that instead of sitting around wasting time and energy, it would be a great idea to start a nonprofit group in which those young talents in the Philadelphia area and Haiti could have the resources to not only record their music but to also get the proper guidance and exposure that they will need to succeed in the entertainment business. After jogging down a plan and put some ideas together, Unik met with three of his closest friends, Mckenson Azard, Eugene Lundi, and Evenson Vernat to let them know of the idea and to ask them to join him as part of the management team. As a result, 507 entertainments was created leading by Mr Badet as the Founder/C.E.O, Mr Lundi as the group’s President, Mr Vernat as the G.M, and Mr Azard who is our road manager. Our goal is to not only provide high quality entertainment of all sorts in our communities, but to also find ways to bring people together and help those in need to live a better life through music.
