Title : SHE CARRIES US ALL
Description:

I am the pulse beneath generations.
Not just one woman, but many—
a mother, a sister, a matriarch, a freedom fighter,a keeper of stories, a bearer of dreams. I rise from shadow and mist,
not hidden, but layered—
my presence shaped by silence, resilience, and grace.
I am the spiritual, emotional, and cultural bedrock
of Black life. Though parts of me may seem obscured,
I do not ask to be seen—
I demand it.
I am not a relic of struggle,
nor merely a muse of strength.
I am history’s author, its archivist, its architect.

I carry us all.

Title: Fragments of Silence

In the quiet, where words fail and voices are muted, the soul still speaks.
This face, scratched, ghosted, and partially erased, exists in a liminal space between being heard and being forgotten. Each mark tells a part of a story too heavy for speech, too sacred for sound.

Title: Loss
Artist:
Description: I have lost. I have grown.
Loss is an inevitable part of existence, a sculptor that carves away at our lives, leaving behind the hollow weight of absence. This artwork captures the duality of loss—its devastation and its quiet transformation—through the stark contrast of the statue and the vibrant life growing beneath it.

The monochrome statue, frozen and unmoving, stands as a monument to something past. It may represent memory, grief, or the remnants of what once was—its rigid form echoing the way loss can harden us, encasing emotions in stillness. Yet, beneath this solemn figure, color bursts forth. The flowers and vines, rich in life, signify renewal, a whisper of growth in the shadow of sorrow.

This juxtaposition reminds us that while loss is painful, it is not merely an end—it is also a passage. What remains may feel cold and lifeless at first, but from that emptiness, something new takes root. Grief reshapes us, forcing us to change, adapt, and eventually bloom. The vines do not erase the statue, just as healing does not erase the past, but they weave around it, proving that beauty can coexist with grief.

In this way, loss is not only about absence but about evolution. It is through losing that we learn the depth of what once was—and the resilience of what can still be.
