Sometimes you gotta go backwards to move forward...
In today's episode of Project 86, we tear apart the interior of my AE86 and get it ready for paint! The car will be getting a full windows and engine out paint job along with a whole host of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades. I'm super excited to finally get the 86 to this stage and can't wait to give the car the makeover it deserves!

The AE86 may be a legend on the touge, but its chassis isn't known to be the strongest... in fact, it's a wet noodle in comparison to modern vehicles. 😅 In today's episode of Project 86, we help promote our trusty old chassis from "wet noodle" to "slightly dry noodle" with the addition of Techno Toy Tuning fender braces! We also fix a common issue on these old cars by replacing our sagging door hinges with brand-spanking new OEM Toyota hinges. Oh, the joy! We can open and close our doors in 80s bliss now (it's the little things).

Leaking trunks and rust are super common on older Subarus and unfortunately my car is no exception. Today we're gonna tackle the leaking JDM taillights and do an oil change on our trusty 2.5RS coupe. With these older cars we're always fixing issues resulting from age and previous owners... but let's at least have some fun and enjoy the process! Side note: this invasive species of mosquito taking over California is WILD.
