Today's tools! This bass was assembled exactly 50 years ago for a Bee Gee tour where I played for openers Janey and Dennis with Arlen Roth. '74 fretless maple neck and '62 electronics and tuners.

These Neumann Atmos height speakers for 7.1.4 have been waiting in the wings since December - just before I found out I'd need to move the studio.
Back in the eighties I mixed some film music in L-C-R-S (early Dolby Surround) with Brewer, then a bit of 5.1 over the past few years. Looking forward to creating ADM files and gaining experience mixing in Dolby Atmos!

...and Karen Kellers sings us out!
This morning was the actual last session at The (current) Workshoppe East. Guitars and Mics leaving today.
Thanks and respect to all the wonderful singers, songwriters and instrumentalists who trusted me with their music over the last seven years.

So here's the new batch of CDs for the wall. Congratulations to Mike Nugent, Linda Sussman Music, Phil Cicciari, Joe Latini and Rupert Wates for finishing these impressive projects, and thanks for letting me either play bass, record or mix your songs! Notably missing is "Edelston & Dulcimer" from Sam Edelston - the DDP just went to press!
Another bit of news... After seven + years at the present location, the studio will be moving to a new spot in Huntington in May. Stay tuned for details. Sessions will continue here until the end of April.

As Bob Stander, Mike Nugent, Fred Guarino and countless other studio owners know, a drum session with Shawn Murray is always a pure pleasure. 5 hours/5 tunes - great parts/performances. ...and he makes the kit sound so damn good. w Sam Edelston
