Former member Northern Areas Legislative Council (NALC) and ‏disgruntled founding leader of PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan Sultan Madad passed away due to cardiac arrest.

The 60-year-old politician was rushed to Islamabad on Wednesday but he breathed his last on the way.

Sultan Madad’s funeral prayers were offered at G-9/1 Islamabad. The body will be transported to Gahkuch Ghizer for final burial.

He has left a widow, four sons and a daughter behind him.

The disgruntled PML-N leader had formed his own party 'Pakistan Insan Dost Party' in September 2019 after being sidelined by the Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman led PML-N.

He had announced to contest the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan election from all the three constituencies in Ghizer.

1) Rs200 billion for daily-wagers.

2) Arrangements to delay interest payments on loans by six months for industries.

3) Increase quota of deserving people.

4) Rs50 billion for utility stores.

5) Reduced petrol and diesel prices.

Gilgit-Baltistan has reported nine more Covid-19 cases, while four more have emerged in Islamabad, according to the government's official portal for tracking the total number of cases in the country, taking the nation's tally to 1,513.

The total number of cases reported in GB are 116, while Islamabad has 43.

With the brazen murder of Afzal Kohistani, the main petitioner in the infamous Kohistan video scandal, a courageous voice has been tragically silenced. Afzal was shot dead in Abbottabad on Thursday evening by “unidentified gunmen” who escaped from the scene.

The murder comes weeks after Afzal demanded that law enforcement provide security to protect him from rivals who were threatening to kill him. He ominously spoke of a jirga which allegedly planned to kill him; he even said the Hazara police should be held responsible if something were to happen to him.

Khushbakht from ghizer yasin was moved to karachi in 16 Feb 2017 to perceive her dream as a nurse and serve humanity, despite knowing the fact that she has to face a lot of challenges as a girl in this society. She was living with her sister in Ali jiwani. She strive hard and got admission in a course as a nurse assistant in Saifee Hospital, North Nazimabad Karachi and recently she started her job as an NA in the same hospital. On Friday at 12:30 PM she woke up and prepared for her job,wearing her uniform with the zeal of serving humanity left Ali Jiwani towards her hospital and disappeared. unfortunately she didn't have cell because it was snatched from her few days ago so her arrival according to her schedule at home was 9:00 PM. On Friday when she didn't reached home her family started contacting her friends and then they came to know that she didn't attended hospital that day, within few seconds they started searching in every place they can and they contacted police station. On further investigation her family came to know about an incident in Hospital which happened few days ago. They went to hospital for CCTV footage of that day but they refused to show them.Today is 5th day after her disappearance and their is no any clue. Now its time to raise our voice for our sister and daughter Khushbakht. In this developing era security for women is a big issue,so if today we didn't raise our voice then tomorrow may be we,our sisters or any daughter of a father will become victim of this cruel society.

Indian ministers and foreign diplomats have started arriving for the Kartarpur corridor groundbreaking ceremony today which will be performed by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The corridor will connect Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur area of Narowal district to Dera Baba Nanak in India’s Gurdaspur district.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal, before leaving for Kartarpur, hailed the groundbreaking as a monumental event "which will open many opportunities for both Pakistan and India".

The Supreme Court (SC) has concluded the Katas Raj case and ordered D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited to deposit Rs100 million into the SC Dam Fund — Rs80m as payment for water utilised by the factory and a Rs20m penalty for attempting to mislead the apex court.
