4 days into the New Year and still no answers to some of life's great questions.
For example: Why do all the flavors in Fruit Loops taste the same? Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?
Why are eggs packaged in such a flimsy package, while batteries come in plastic that's tougher than nails?

I got ambushed by an innocent-looking piece of chocolate that had coconut hidden inside. Seriously, I'm scarred for the rest of the season. I'm afraid to grab another piece of candy from the box! :)

I think it's the first In & Out Burger to ever open in Idaho. It opened this week, and the rush was amazing. Some folks waited in the drive thru line for up to 8 hours. Seriously? For an In & Out Burger? I mean, they're fine, but seriously? Worth an 8 hour wait?

Congratulations to the Pleasant Valley Vikings football team on another great season. They fell to Ramona High in the championship game last night 35-7, but California state runner-up is pretty damm impressive! Saw a survey indicating that 90% of girls were into jumping rope when they were kids. Not very many do that anymore. What was your primary recreational activity when growing up?

As for young Mikey, it was climbing trees and riding my bike everywhere. When I got to be 9 or 10, it was drawing a strike zone on the side of an outbuilding and pitching for a couple of hours at a time. You wouldn't believe how many strike-outs I racked up! 😁 Pretty sure at the time that my 40 mph fastball was destined for the major leagues! ⚾️
