Bassist Andrea Verginella states: "This song was written many years ago by our singer and had been locked in a drawer for a long time. We rewrote the arrangement from scratch, but the vocal line and guitar chords remain the same. Everything else was completely revamped and adapted to the album's mood. The result has a melancholic and dark feeling. The bass line and the final guitar solo are inspired by the atmospheres you can hear on some of Bowie's records from the 70s. Fabio's intense vocal performance is the disillusioned chant of a survivor who doesn't give up seeking to communicate with the most alive and truest parts of human beings".

“Midnight Supremacy” is scheduled for release on September 27, 2024, distributed worldwide by Plastic Head Music Distribution. The CD booklet features the introductory liner notes written by Matteo Piotto (Metalhead.it). Special guests include Mickey E.Vil (The Mugshots) on keyboards. The album was recorded at Sonic Bang Studio in Isorella (Brescia, Italy) under the guidance of Oscar Burato. The cover artwork was designed by acclaimed Italian photographer Michele Gusmeri (www.michelegusmeri.it).

Singer Fabio Perini states: “By The Moonlight was one of the first songs written for our debut. I started composing the vocal line, and then I wrote the rhythm guitar part. We arranged the track in our rehearsal room, and every member of the band contributed. The final result was so good that we had no doubts in choosing it as the first single. In our opinion, it offers a glimpse into our musical style of deep and dark vocal parts, a pulsating rhythm section, melodic guitar riffs and solos. Organ and piano sheets add extra layers of darkness and melody to the track. The lyrics are intentionally vague so that everyone can interpret them according to his or her sensibility. In this case, the narrator seems to be interacting with someone, wondering about the meaning of a (eternal?) life in solitude, unfulfilled dreams, and remembering a happier time. Moonlight provides a backdrop to these moments of hope (or madness?) with the narrator lost in distant memories. Or perhaps he’s hoping to bring back the object of his longing, through a ritual that will resurrect his spirit”.

Sneakout Records and Burning Minds Music Group are pleased to reveal the details of My Darkest Red’s debut album, “Midnight Supremacy”.

My Darkest Red is a new dark'n'roll band founded by musicians from two early 2000s bands, Poisonheart and Dreamhunter. This new project features a powerful mix of classic hard'n'heavy, inspired by rock icons such as Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, and Iron Maiden. Add in the decadent, dark wave atmosphere of Sisters of Mercy, HIM, and The 69 Eyes, and you have My Darkest Red.

The band states: "In our previous recording experiences, we’ve never been afraid to experiment. But in this project we combine several genres that are rarely mixed together, to satisfy a wider pool of listeners. We’ll take them on a journey, from dusk till dawn, exploring different moods. From heavier songs to dark ballads, from arena-anthems to gothic atmospheres; the common theme of this album is melody, even on the most aggressive tracks. The lyrics show our love for old horror movies and gothic literature. Our debut album aims to honour the golden era of hard'n'heavy, but with the awareness that we are in 2024. We’re proud of this achievement. For us, it represents a further evolution of our journey as musicians, showing our passion, stubbornness, and love for music."

Fabio Perini is the band's vocalist and rhythm guitarist.
After debuting in 2017 with Poisonheart “Till the morning light” album, he is now the main songwriter and lyricist of My Darkest Red.
Fabio is the “darkest” part of the band, bringing his love for ghost stories and horror movies. His distinctive voice alternates between deep gothic parts and more raucous and aggressive ones, wrapping the power of hard rock in a cloak of gothic darkness.

The album is the result of intense work developed in the studio. Francesco Di Nicola (DangerZone, Crying Steel, Krell), author and co-author of the songs, plays both the bass guitars and guitars; the arrangement and writing of the drum tracks are done by Paolo Caridi (Ellefson-Soto, Reb Beach, Geoff Tate, Michele Luppi), a professional with international experience with whom Francesco Di Nicola has already collaborated on the recent "Deserts" album by Krell. The voice is the warm and characterising one of Elle Noir, the winning element of the 2022 debut album "God is a Witness". The diffusion and intensity of the choruses, two pairs of rhythmic guitars that virtualize the presence of two guitarists and the processing of sound, are the elements that give the work a particularly rich setting.

“Good 'n' Evil” contains “Liar” and “Satellite”, two unreleased songs from the time in which Francesco Di Nicola collaborated with Crying Steel in the early 90s: a period without publications for the Bolognese group despite their constant presence in the metal scene. The physical CD features one more track, not present on the digital version: "Victim Of Time", the title track of the album with which Danger Zone officially debuted in 1984 and in whose lineup Francesco Di Nicola was present.

The lyrics of the album, mainly composed by Chiara Mencarelli and integrated by Francesco Di Nicola, co-producers of this album, are of profound spiritual inspiration. As the title “Good 'n' Evil” suggests, the common denominator is the contrast between good and evil and the elevation to victory of the former over the latter. Biblical references are frequent and the reflection of a meeting place between man and man and between man and God are reoccurring.

“Good 'n' Evil”, like the previous album, was also recorded at Pri Studio in Bologna, Italy; Roberto Priori's ability and the musical understanding shared with Francesco Di Nicola resulting from a forty-year friendship, are the ingredients that contributed to the creation of the exact sounds which were envisioned when composing the songs.

My Darkest Red is a new dark'n'roll band founded by musicians from two early 2000s bands, Poisonheart and Dreamhunter. This new project features a powerful mix of classic hard'n'heavy, inspired by rock icons such as Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden, combined with dark wave elements that recall the decadent atmospheres of The Sisters Of Mercy, HIM and The 69 Eyes; the lyrics draw from horror classics and the works of gothic authors.

John states: “The song is about a trip through the American highways to the sound of rock'n'roll, a little bit of madness and lots of fun.
