BINI at SB19.
This time last year, I was concerned about BINI and their popularity after their Independence Day Parade gig was called off.
Sila ay parehong nag-world tour na at the time of this writing. BINI is already having their North American tour underway after a whirlwind trip to London. SB19 on the otherhand are just preparing for their own US and Canada gigs.
Now some people may be thinking na mainit ang labanan sa pagitan ng dalawang ppop groups, lalo na in the field of who has the better audience, who has the better music, and whatnot. One has accused BINI for "pandering" to the Western audience these days kasi puro English ang pinapalabas na kanta. But I don't believe anything like that.
The truth is, I do respect and enjoy the music of BOTH groups. Hindi akong sabik na sabik o kaya isang "stan", pero ako ay naniniwala that both groups deserve their own sucesses, their own shift to becoming world class talents. Each group has their own charms and traits. I like BINI for their moves, their lyrics, and how catchy their songs are. I like SB19 for how they make cutting edge music as well as their fusion of various music genres.
Both groups are carrying our flag on the global stage.
