Why Do Commissioners Brent Chesney , Republican, and Commissioner Jose A. Gonzalez or simply JAG, (turncoat from Democrat to Republican), get along?

It's simple, and there are two reasons: Firstly, Jose A. Gonzalez (JAG) gave his loyalty to Brent Chesney to avoid a Republican opponent, and Secondly, both of them trade favors to cheat county taxpayers. There is a saying: “Crooks stick together because they have something in common.”

Juan Pimentel is the Nueces County Director of Public Works. This means Mr. Pimentel has say over public works jobs and so who get manpower, heavy equipment and construction materials. The manpower is paid for by the ratepayers of Nueces County. The expense of heavy equipment is paid – again -- by Nueces County. The bulk materials are paid for by Nueces County. This accumulated into big money.

Recently, one of Mr Pimentel's work crew was building a new driveway at Mr. Pimentel's dad's home (considered private property). Mr Pimentel's work crew was using Nueces County employees to do the job. Additionally, Nueces County heavy equipment was being utilized to do the job, and Nueces County materials to do the job. Add up the manpower and time and materials involved and and one will conclude: this accumulated into big money.

Mr Pimientel’s work crew accidentally ran into a mailbox and thus they had to call Nueces County Risk Management. This caused Nueces County waste Management to visit the location, and take photographs and witness statements. (All pictures and witness statements verify all of what you have just read.)

Both the bottom line and the top line is persons in entrusted positions of authority are not supposed to use the resources of Nueces County (that is, manpower, heavy equipment and bulk materials) for personal profit or gain, but Mr Pimentel did. He violated Nueces County policy and more than likelybroke several laws of this great State of Texas.

This violation of Nueces County policy was brought to the attention of the Nueces County Commissioners Court. This was both a misuse and waste of taxpayers money. Nonetheless, Commissioner Brent Chesney, Commissioner JAG, and Commissioner Hernandez, who does whatever (Chesney) tells him to do, praise Mr Pimentel. Some observers said: “It made no sense”; but then it made lots of the sense. Apparently Chesney had to support this wrongful private use of private profit from taxpayers money because he is being accused by some as doing it too.

The accusations are that Commisioner Chesney in his official capacity has been using Nueces County tax dollars to do favors for constituents - for years. Specifically Chesney has been using Nueces County public works to fix his friends roads using Nueces County taxpayer. It includes manpower, heavy equipment and bulk materials being used on private property.

These places and locations where Comissioner Chesney has done this are not country roads, and thus it is completely improperly to burden Nueces County with his financial cost. Chesney, previously cited accusations have surfaced. Again, the evidence has been identified, that he has approved of the misusing of taxpayers money for improper purposes -- supposedly to get votes and garner other forms of influence.

Chesney, most insiders know, wants to be the “big dog” and so he has been wasting taxpayer money on roads that do not belong to Nueces County. This has been the accusation. If proven utterly accurate, this violates Nueces County policy Texas law and cheats taxpayers of public funds and resources.

Lots more will be unearth via this investigation.

At some point in time, it has been projected, County Commisioner Brent Chesney will dispute this article because he like to re-spin things and believes he is a master at covering serpenting tracks (but that is a story for another day). The emails simply available prove that Chesney had “a hand in it” (that is, they were certain roads not owned by the county and thus were not the responsibility of Nueces County to be fixed).

There is evidence (photos) that show the work performed on private property that public works should not have been working on. If Chesney denies the truth then photos and emails will be published.

Watchdog observers have been claiming JAG does the same and/or is complicit. This has circulated for years as it turns out, both Chesney and JAG - therefore - had to support Mr Pimentel's wrongful corruption, some sources have made the argument.

“Why?” -- this is the recurring question circularized. Accusers argue that this might be the reason the action that would have triggered Mr. Pimentel to “rat on” Brent Chesney and alleged transgressions committed by JAG. As one activist put it: “Crooks cannot ‘rat on one another (without consequences)’ or else all of them get into big trouble. Of course Commissioner Hernandez just plays along.”

The county judge and one other commissioner tried to stop it, but they were out-voted.

“Commissioner Brent Chesney and JAG are the good old boys club...When you put a little more light into it, some referred to it as business as usual,” one observed opined. “When you put the right amount of light on it, then it’s called taking from Nueces County taxpayers. Shame, shame, shame, it is hard to stop corruption when the bad guys are protecting each other for their own personal, financial gain.”

The majority of the voters want to keep good leadership, and get rid of the bad leadership for the betterment of the county.

A SPECIAL COMMENTARY:
COMMISSIONER BRENT CHESNEY: THE ATTACK DOG FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY
The Republican voice on the Nueces County Commissioners Court is, and has been for quite some time, Commissioner Brent Chesney. He is erratic and has a reputation of disrespecting women. His aim is to “poison the well” for County Judge Barbara Canales who is seeking re-election. Commissioner CHESNEY is supporting her challenger Connie Scott (also Repubican).

Chesney is trying to discredit all accomplishments that Judge Canales has made for Nueces County. He has recruited two Democrat commissioners, primarily Jose A. Gonzalez known as “JAG” and Robert Hernandez to rasp and discredit her notoriety. JAG (a Democrat) joined with Chesney when the Republican agreed not to turn a candidate against him.

THE EPIPHANIES OF TOKEN HEADS:

A transformation has occurred in the manner JAG sees things now. He is no longer a functional Democrat and his imposed disdain for Canales has nothing to do with ideology but simply reflects the loyalty to Chesney and a clique of Republicans.

Yet, many critics point out to JAG that he is cold, callous, and heartless when targeting Canales, who is the first Latina elected County Judge.

THE COUNTY JUDGE’S FRUITFUL ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND TENURE:

County Judge Canales has had a potent and fruitful tenure while in office. Nueces County tackled so many new and innovative projects in 2019, 2020 and 2021 that her main gladfly, (annoying person) Commissioner Chesney, had to bite his partisan tongue. Chesney was boxed in, and was forced to repeatedly praise Judge Barbara Canales in 2019, 2020 and 2021. For example Nueces County Commissioners Court lowered the new county tax rate for each of these years and thus Chesney had to praise his nemesis, Judge Barbara Canales.

Nueces County, with Canales! leadership, has increased the “Rainy Day” fund balance. It was increased from 17 million to 27 million during the same time period -- and so Chesney again praise her. The list of good things goes on and on, but Brent Chesney recently has lost his composure trying to interfere with most of the good things happening with Nueces County.

CHESNEY’S TANTRUMS:

It is an election year, and so Brent Chesney (according to observers and critics) is now kicking and screaming. As one critic put it: “Commissioner (Brent) Chesney is throwing his temper tantrums dissatisfied because he didn’t get his way).

A stapled reality: On May 26th, Brent Chesney cracked, yelled, screamed gathered his belongings during a special called Nueces County meeting, and abandoned his seat on the commissioner's court. “Why?” -- this question was asked by many CCNN commenter. Commissioner Chesney left because he could not get his way. “Brent Chesney could not get his way because he was trying to ignore Federal funding laws and trying to cheat the taxpayer,” one CCNN commenter detailed. “ Brent Chesney was outraged by having to listen to members of the public and refused to acknowledge what that woman’ wants (referring to Judge Barbara Canales).”

BREAKING FEDERAL RULES:

Before 2019 Commissioner Chesney broke Federal rules on Mikel May's restaurant - and the federal government asked for 1 million to be returned to them. He was wasteful of the tax dollars due to his poor management.

“Brent Chesney is doing the same now, and continues to work “the good old boy” network. On May 26th he blatantly wasted taxpayer money at the risk of Nueces County. Brent Chesney was elected, but now he is so hellbent on getting his way - and trying to elect the Republican running for county judge (Connie Scott) – that he is working off the job,” an employee at the Courthouse opined. “Reports are that Brent Chesney needs anger management therapy and it is not working so he had to leave to avoid a mental movement on camera.

Commissioner Chesney is undoubtably aggravated and many will add egotistical. Brent is the KRIS- TV conspirator – utilizing the media to bend facts.

Final notes: This is the first of many stories and commentaries about Commissioner Brent Chesney and what kind of person he really is, and there will be specific facts added to prove each of the labels placed on him. Everyone is welcome to comment on this CCNN articles and commentary.

In the end, we need good leadership. We need smart leaders; the community does not want self-serving political hacks. The concensus is that politicians must not be wild-eye mercenaries and they need to stop being the ‘attack dogs’ for the Republican or Democrat parties.

This is an election year, and it is not okay to allow political figures to hurl their anger and horrific tactics defaming an opponent with a fury that goes over the top of tolerated propriety. The first Latina County Judge has been such a victim. As one CCNN commenter, and registered voter put it: “STOP the BRENT CHESNEYs with such agendas.”

A MOTION HAS BEEN FILED TO DISQUALIFY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY AND HIS STAFF FROM PROSECUTING A CASE. KEEP IN MIND MARCO EVERETT WAS CHARGED WITH FRAUDULENT ENTRY OF GOVERNMENT RECORDS, THREE COUNTS OF OFFICIAL OPPRESSION AND UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT OF A PERSON.
Corpus Christi, TX – The motion was submitted by the attorney of a DPS official through his attorneys, Perkins & Perkins Law. The attorneys argue that there is a major conflict between their client and the District Attorney’s Office , specifically First Asst. Angelica Hernandez and her husband, DPS Supervisor Rodney Hernandez.
The motion states Angelica Hernandez’ husband, Rodney Hernandez was Everett's supervisor. The two had a good relationship until an incident occurred when Everett questioned why Rodney had used a Taser on a subject that was cuffed. After that Everett was transferred to the supervision of another sergeant.
Since then, DPS previously cleared Everett of an alledged misconduct in the department. Everett's attorneys alledges that Angelica Hernandez is stubborn and "cannot and will not recognize a conflict of interest.”
"Marco Everett is entitled to a fair trial and cannot get one so long as Angelica Hernandez and her husband (whose personnel file will be an exhibit during the trial on the merits of this case) who will testify during this trial are in charge of the prosecution's case,” the motion filed reads.
Mark Gonzalez feels that the arguments by Everett’s attorney are exaggerated. He told the press:"I don't believe there is a conflict. We will hear the case."
All the same, that determination will be made by a judge. Marco Everett was charged with fraudulent entry of government records. Three counts of official oppression. And unlawful restraint of a person.

SEE NEW COMMENTS BY 🐘REPUBLICAN PARTY TOP DOG BARBARA BAKER. TROJAN-HORSE CANDIDATE – Part 1 of 2
A TROJAN-HORSE CANDIDATE: CONNIE SCOTT (a candidate for County Judge) IS AFFILIATED WITH BIG INDUSTRY AND WANTS TO RESTRICT THE RIGHTS OF ORDINARY CITIZENS BEING THAT THE HISPANICS ARE THE MAJORITY IN NUECES COUNTY

CCNN - This is what’s wrong with the Republican Party it has a bias and prejudicial outlook towards Media run by a Hispanic. Barbara Baker, I am not going call you racist and fall in to your trap, in fact I don’t think you are a racist but ignorant. A racist I would give credit for thinking. You are close minded and do not feel that a Hispanic can arrive and form an opinion on there own. CCNN went above and beyond into investigating this matter. Our motivation was for the Hispanic community to see beyond the Barbara Baker’s of this world. The tactic you are trying to use has been over used. Hispanics that think on there own you consider them dangerous. All you see is hired politicial guns and meek peones. What a filthy mind you must have towards our Hispanic people.

(Head of the Republican Party Barbara Baker’s comments) Dang…. Barbara canalis must be paying you a bunch of money. This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time, and there is some funny stuff on Facebook. Just so you know candidates, this is the kind of stuff that this guy posts if you refuse to pay him. Just 1 ounce of proof in any of this is not going to be found. No amount of this kind of fabricated posts will be able to cover up the scandals and corruption of the current county judge. Nueces County, TX – A group of ardent- (enthusiastic) Republicans have tried to poison the well of current County Judge Barbara Canales. The first Latina to serve in such a capacity in the region. Yet, her foes are pushing a candidate affiliated with an organization that has roots in capitalizing on anti-Mexican sentiments. Connie Scott, a candidate tied in with (“MEGA CORPORATIONS”) wants to infringe on the legal rights of citizens (according to the by-laws of her own “BRAIN CHILD”organization/organizations.

Connie Scott, who has been in charge of Bay Area Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (BACALA) has been linked to and rapacious (“aggressively greedy”) interests of mega-corporations that want to be immune from liability from actions that harmed consumers. Scott’s role was to masquerade the organization as a “grassroots” citizen group funded by simple citizens, but it was far from the true. Her goal was to promote slogans and advertisement to trigger anger from citizens again so-called rampant lawsuit abuse (and the civil justice system) to deny many a chance to go before a jury when they were harmed.

RACIST, ANGER PROPELLED CITIZENS AGAINST LAWSUIT ABUSE --

(BACALA- “Bay Area Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse”)-(“CALA - Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse”) have their origins and roots in violent racism, according to a lawyer tied in with civil liberties. In the late 1980s, two undocumented workers from Mexico crossed over to work for the Rio Grande Sugarcane Company. They worked there a while, then decided to go work somewhere else. The staff of the company was angered and try to apprehend them. The two undocumented workers ran into a field (which was dry) and it was set it on fire by staff. Both were severely burned, one barely survived. In turn the families of the victims filed suit for damages against the company for 1.2 mllion. The company and area ranches and advocates were enraged: “How dare illegals sue us” – this was recurring theme. And consequently the anger and ire of the latter was used to organize a hate campaign against the lawyers who help them. Electric companies (such as CP&L – who had a monopoly as being the provider for Texas electrictiy) and the to***co companies (who had being found guilty of putting addictive elements in their ci******es) and others join in with the haters to form CALA (Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse).

Racist, anger, prejudicial biases, stereotypes – how many were the things that boosted the organization. There similar tactics in regards to the functional use of hate and anger and stereotypes to propel CALA to new heights and boost the members with sympatizers (who had a long history of exploiting undocument Mexicans.

SCANDAL & ABUSE OF LOCAL TAX-PAYER MONIES BY CONNIE SCOTT’S BRAIN CHILD ORGANIZATION --

TO CITE AN EXAMPLE -- BACALA is a chapter of the original CALA (which was formed in the Valley of South Texas). It was formed and set in motion by a team -- Connie and Mike Scott (her husband) -- here regionally. But BACALA even tapped on ratepayer monies. It used rent free office space on the Shoreline property fron July 1994 to April 1997 to operate from – rent free (they were given permission by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Business Alliance – both linked sympathetically with it). BACALA used telephone extentions and other utilities: monies that really belonged to the taxpayers/ratepayers of the region. Finally, a civil suit was filed against BACALA to end to stop the exploitation of the ratepayers and the freebies and perks.

WHY IS CONNIE SCOTT RUNNING FOR COUNTY JUDGE:

Scott’s goal is to take her BACALA to a whole new level. She seems to not only promote an “industrial state” agenda but to try and put in place a masterplan that will pe*****te the very heart and soul of the Nueces County Commissioners Court.

She wants to pave the way for enactment of laws corporations that harm and injure residents. “Is she receiving extreme financial and strategic assistance?” -- This IS THE QUESTION CCNN IS TRYING TO UNEARTH.

“Do not be deceived by the powercratic interests and agenda at work to sway the power of regular citizens and to limit their legal liberties,” many researchers on this matter have pointed out. “We cannot possibly want to surrender to living in a totalitarian state run by Corporatocracy – such a society and system is basically run by corporation and their interests (exploiting the regular constituency to a “pulp” as critics have put it).

A GREAT DANGER HAS ARRIVED --
“There has never been such a great danger that has faced in the political area that wants to embedded itself and manipulate decision making power and sway it to the side of Corporate Giants. The aim of BACALA (a surrendepous organization) run by Connie Scott and her husband is to deprive citizens of getting a jury trial and their aim is to recruit incoming businesses to the region to join forces with them to execute such a nefarious agenda – how many have been the researched shared by local intelletuals who are critical of the current political-economic alignment.

Some years back when Connie Scott ran for State Representative and won (against Abel Herrero), she served and did very little while in office – her predecessor, Herrero had been constantly addressing the needs of the working people and masses of constituents. She only sat on the seat to be a trouble-shooter for big industry (some have criticized).

As per the present county judge, Barbara Canales, “She continues to listen to voice of the people better than most. She is constantly pursuing new grants to addressing long ignored issues. We need someone who will remain open to the needs of the people, not one blinded by corporate lures,” Amador Zapata for Annaville commented.

THE CHOICE --
It has become very clear that the choice between current County Judge Barbara Canales and Connie Scotts is lucidly clear for regular citizens. The mega calculated poison of interests that Connie Scott brings to the table is haunting enough to discourage any citizens who had done his research not to vote to put her in office and allow county society to be run by the whims and oppressive agendas and bias ordinances tied to big industry.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF “GAMEROOM” REGULATION – THERE IS A BIG SURPRISE THAT IS GOING TO BE SLAPPED ON THEM
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This is only the beginning on regulating GAMEROOMS. One commissioner, off the record, said that it will identify them – and open the avenue of Federal and State agencies to come and see what they are doing with their money, especially The Department of Treasury/IRS. While bingos in the city have declined in profits due to the unregulated trend of GAMEROOMS, they will push for stringent accountability as well – afterall – GAMEROOMS are their competitors.

One bingo operator (tied in with a legal non-profit organization told CCNN: “We use to donate $50,000 to charities every three months. The GAMEROOMS stopped the net gains we had. I stopped making contributions”

It seems surreal that unregulated businesses such as GAMEROOMS will be able to function freely and be able to offer customers the hefty prices and other offers they were before. Some business rivals are glad the regulations the Nueces County Commissioners Court approved with a gameroom ordinance Wednesday night, will the discourage GAMEROOM operators from even playing field in the region.

GAMEROOMS have to operate at least 1,500 feet of a school, church, or neighborhood. Their hours will be altered also which will take a toll on the schedule of their customers. They will be monitor on a regular basis by agencies to make sure their clients safety is being taken cared of.

Commissioners have not taken their final vote yet in regulating the entities but some claim they will do so on the May 11th meeting.

Again, at first it seems like the ordiance is just a way to corral the GAMEROOMS – and then a hatch of mandates and ordinances and inter-state laws and regulations will be imposed on them, one commissioner said off the record, but it is much more than that, a group of powercrats are using it for self-gain in an unorthodox way to procure and generate profits before the big boys from the state and federal government step in and shut the lucrative operations down.

REGULATION OF GAMEROOMS BY THE COUNTY HAS ARRIVED
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Yesterday, Nueces County Commissioners agreed to pass an ordinance regulating gamerooms. But before the vote was taken they heard from two parties: those that operate or patronize bingo parlors and those that operate or patronized gamerooms.
The biggest concern of those associated with the gamegroom camp was that how come bingo halls can pay out cash prizes, while gamerooms are prohibited to do so.
The bingo group complained of an immense string of state regulations they have to comply with, while gamerooms are not required. Bingo Halls have been integrated into the system and are mostly operated by non-profit organizations. This has been the tradition and the norm and the law for quite sometime.
The ordinance will finalize the deal and spell out the regulations in the May 11 meeting. Gamerooms will be allowed to operate from noon to midnight on Sunday through Thursday. Sunday through Thursday: 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. .
Gamerooms will be allowed to operate within 1,500 feet of a school, church or neighborhood. The most game machines allowed in one game room will be 200,; the highest number of game rooms allowed in the county , 130.
Gamerooms will have to have armed security. However, customers will be allowed to have guns and other weapons. One commisisoner said because he was concerned it might violate state law. Brent CHESNEY has been referred to as the walk in county judge by critics his grand effort on this issue reflects (THE POWER GRAB).

COMMENTARY: THE MEDICAL EXAMINER THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAD IN MIND DECIDED TO TAKE A BETTER JOB OFFER

Nueces county, Texas - -After the Nueces County Chief Medical Examiner Adel Shaker had submitted a letter of retirement to the county his picture on the bottom. The county commissioners chose Medical Examiner Dr. Scott Luzi for the job. It was a stunning blow to the egos of many commissioners in Nueces’s county when their favorite candidate Dr Scott Luzi decided to take a better job offer elsewhere- - in California.

On March 16th the commissioner's Court had announced they had chosen someone to fill the position of medical examiner to replace Adele Shaker. It turned out to be something that critics had predicted - - that the medical examiner chosen could decide to take a job elsewhere. Precisely the matter happen.

Many in the community felt after the controversy with the medical examiner's office here and the climate of desperation had been created and thus would lead to a poor decision making.

The commissioner court was expecting Luzi to start work on May 3rd. The commissioner's court was in a rush to move on after the Deputy Chief medical was fired because she did not have the proper credentials to practice medicine in the State of Texas.

Some feel that a local professional should be considered for such office - -such as Dr Ray Fernandez who has held the office before. Fernandez was the type that would go above and beyond, a meticulous and diligent professional, to make sure that things were done to the letter and the spirit of what the office called for.

Many have called Dr Fernandez and ask him to submit an application to the commissioner's Court for consideration. Others from the region are encouraged also to apply applications, and eliminate the syndrome of having to bring an outside expert in to tell us how things can be done in our county.

JUDGE INNA KLEIN REMOVED FROM CASE…

Corpus Christi , Texas - - Judge Inna Klein has been removed from a case after attorney Terry Shamsie, the attorney for the defendant, filed a complaint with the administrative judge. The attorney argued that the judge was caught on camera in a previous trial watching the jury’s delivery. Senior judge Rogelio Valdez granted the request to have Klein removed from the case on thursday.

Amber Prince is the defendant and is being accused of inappropriate behavior. Miss Prince is a former teacher at London ISD and pleaded guilty to 10 counts of such a matter related to an inappropriate relationship with one of those students.

Prince’s attorney called judge Klein a person who lacks in impartiality. According to the district attorney's office, judge Klein and her staff were watching the jury’s delivery, a matter that is highly secretive, according to the attorney.

No one is allowed in the room. A new judge has been appointed to preside over the Prince case. Angelica Hernandez and administrator with the district attorney's office, said " What the judge did violates the most fundamental aspect of our criminal judicial system which requires secrecy. The jury is supposed to be protected. This case has opened a Pandora's box. Now the judge for any client can claim that judge Klein cannot be partial in a jury room due to having a history of spying on a jury she was presiding over. If more attorneys follow this path, it could immobilizer her as a judge in fully hearing cases out to the end, a local attorney detailed.
