A gorgeous thing happened when I was at The 1865 with John Hackett Band last month (and I shall be back next month with ZIO!)
Having just released Appleseed that weekend, I talked a little bit about it in my set before playing it, about how I used to refer to Harlan, and Drayke as Apple Pip whilst I was first pregnant with them.
A lovely fellow called Duncan, who I’d never met before came to talk to me afterwards and told me that he had a very soon to be born grand child on the way, who was also being referred to as Pip for the same reasons! 🍎❤️✨
He very kindly bought print number one, asking me if the lyric sheet could be framed alongside the cover, so he could give it as a gift when little Pip, or Pippa arrived.
One month later, a wonderful job of framing the artwork has been accomplished and a little baby girl named Pippa has now arrived in the world!
Upon reading the words, apparently Mama Emily had a wee cry 🥲🥰 Congratulations Emily & John!
