A gorgeous thing happened when I was at The 1865 with John Hackett Band last month (and I shall be back next month with ZIO!)

Having just released Appleseed that weekend, I talked a little bit about it in my set before playing it, about how I used to refer to Harlan, and Drayke as Apple Pip whilst I was first pregnant with them.

A lovely fellow called Duncan, who I’d never met before came to talk to me afterwards and told me that he had a very soon to be born grand child on the way, who was also being referred to as Pip for the same reasons! 🍎❤️✨

He very kindly bought print number one, asking me if the lyric sheet could be framed alongside the cover, so he could give it as a gift when little Pip, or Pippa arrived.

One month later, a wonderful job of framing the artwork has been accomplished and a little baby girl named Pippa has now arrived in the world!

Upon reading the words, apparently Mama Emily had a wee cry 🥲🥰 Congratulations Emily & John!

Thank you Duncan for the beautiful pic and sharing your magical story and photo.

By design, all my ‘Ol 45 Style’ single cover prints come in two halves, so they can be framed side by side.

We may be only a few short weeks away from Summer Solstice, but sure as Winter Solstice will tip toe its way in to our lives afore we know it, we thought we’d celebrate it with another concert from the wondrous White Sail and myself on Saturday 21st December at ‘The Den’, at Micklegate Social in York!
