November 1st is a very bittersweet day. 31 days, hundreds of gigs, and a few sleepless nights later, we've come to an end. This is now the third time we've done a Halloween marathon, and though it wasn't always easy, it was worth it.
I got to work with many great people and create interesting content that we'll always have to look back on. Still, I can't help but wonder what the future looks like. Doing things like this has taught me a lot.
For one, it helps you become more resilient and adaptable. The list changed many times since its inception back in May. Life circumstances happened, ideas changed, and some logistics of certain things changed. Slots would move and switch out, but I'd always tell myself, 'We'll get 31 somehow'.
I also learned that maybe quality is better at times than quantity. Creating a sh*t-ton of content is impressive, and nobody can take that away, but I found that to do this, some corners on certain projects needed to be cut, and some original visions needed changing. And worse, mistakes were made. Not that I completely blame the number of videos, as there are certainly more preventative steps I could've taken, but mistakes are more likely on such a timeline and rate of upload.
If this was the end, I have zero regrets. It was a spooky creative boot camp with other cool and creative people from the Media Pod Smash universe. Did we change the world? Probably not, but we did leave our artistic expression on it and made it a bit more creepy. That works for me.
Thanks to all who helped with the Halloween dreams this season and thanks to all who support this podcast. It's never too late to chase a silly dream. Now, onto the next!
