Area 9 scoring big on Day 1 of the Caledonian Showing Championships.

Our Zoe Macphail and pocket rocket, Gingerbread are off to a flyer with a win in the Junior Concourse D’Elegance as the only side saddle combination in the class.

Well done Zoe and GB!! Looking gorgeous. Can’t wait to see you and super groom Liz for the big side saddle evening performance class tomorrow night.

The next stop on the 2025 showing road up here in Scotland is the Evening Performance Side Saddle class at the Caley Champs. Congratulations to all the Area 9 Ladies that have qualified.

The Area 9 Chairman and his trusty Secretary will be up there to cheer you on and provide some legging up, encouragement, and turnout tweaking. Good luck to you all and say cheese for the photographer 😍📸

Sending best wishes to Area 9 Secretary, Karrie McGill and her horse Penstrumbly Kevin as they head to Horse of the Year Show this week to compete in the Ladies Side Saddle Horse of the Year Final.

Karrie only started Kevin sideways in April and they have already had a great year competing together. Qualifying for HOYS as an amateur is a huge achievement and we are so proud to have an Area 9 member representing the SSA and side saddle at the biggest show of the year.

Congratulations on your qualification Karrie and good luck to you and Kev from everyone at Area 9. There’s a whole squad of Area 9ers coming down to cheer you on. Enjoy every minute in the Arena of Dreams. We are all right behind you.
