Not a huge fan of TTR games, but this one is great for kids. Minimal reading, fairly quick, and still teaches good game principles.

Time for an official introduction.

My name is Kris and I am one half of Sly Game Design. My primary responsibilities for SGD are game design and business management. I am learning more about social media all the time and hope to get better at engaging the boardgame community here.

My wife, Sarah, and our two girls have been living in the Basque Region of Northern Spain since 2019. Aside from games, I enjoy disc golf, singing, and being outdoors. I am originally from Michigan, but have also lived in Indiana, Ohio, and Texas for a time. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Masters in Wildlife Managament. My work history also includes a hardware store, a coffee shop, a university, a camp, a church, and a disc golf business. My personal account is

Who We Are

It began with the simple idea to create a game that could be sold in a summer camp store. Founders Jordan and Kris have both spent time working at a Camp and Retreat Center in Southwest Michigan which served to inspire the theme for our flagship game, Bivouac.

Sly Game Design focuses on making games that are enjoyable for adults, yet attainable for kids ages 8+. As a result, more complex games usually include elements that can be added for older or more experienced gamers. All our games are designed with school-aged children in mind in terms of theme and art, making them family-friendly.

We donate 100% of our profit to non-profit entities that we are passionate about. Sly Game Design primarily exists to provide financial support to these entities. Jordan and Kris remain employed elsewhere in order to provide for themselves and ensure that we can continue to give away larger amounts of our revenue.
