We shared a very dope musical moment in 2011:
Our mutual friend Josh Adams did a fundraiser for his label Exchange Bureau, for LP he was working on showing off Detroit artists and friends of the city. I was one of the artists on the album, called "The Big 3".
Josh called me about this show and went "you know what would be amazing - if you did a liquid funk, soulful dnb set and Amp sang and such over it for the show"...
Of course I said yes - slide one is the result of that happening :)
He signed my favorite remix of one of his tunes in slide two, and I never really ask for signatures, but this one I had to bring with me.
After that set I ran into him every now and then throughout the years and we always talked about fun and different that day was for both of us.
When you hear how important Amp was to everyone, especially in Detroit - definitely listen.
And run all his music up, I'm sitting here still blown away learning about the songs he helped produce 🔥...
