Phase Distorter, the seventh band featured on the Anthems from the Heartland 2 compilation, hit the ground running in 2023 with over a dozen shows around the Kansas City Missouri area. Driven by their desire to create a unique blend of punk and noise, they strive to produce new music including a single to be released this year. Not only are they one of eight independent bands featured on this compilation, but they are also working on their third EP.

Phase Distorter are:

Nick Rogers - guitar/vocals

The Alliterates, the fifth featured band on the Anthems from the Heartland 2 compilation, formed over three years ago to create their own psychedelically driven noise induced experimental sound. Hailing from Omaha, The Alliterates like to party hard, and mentioned that one of their most memorable experiences was when they were wrapping up a set and their drummer “puked on stage without missing a beat.” Not only are they one of eight independent bands featured on this compilation, they are also focusing their combined efforts to releasing their first full length album.

The Alliterates are:

Apeman - bass & guitar
Grouchy Marx - drums, vocals, & various instruments

ANTHEMS FROM THE HEARTLAND 2 is an indie rock compilation of EIGHT bands from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. All eight bands bring their own unique blend of indie rock and have teamed together to form this 16 Track Album.

Accidentology, the third band featured on this comp, is a four-piece powerhouse from Lincoln Nebraska that has been actively involved in the Omaha/Lincoln NE indie and punk scene over the last two years. Not only does their style of music blend well with other indie/punk bands, but they have also found themselves playing with numerous bands who would be considered metal, rock, and hardcore. They are looking forward to piecing together their full-length album over the next year or two, and have had the opportunity to have a live album produced from one of their favorite Lincoln venues.

Accidentology consists of:
Sam Maser: Rhythm guitar and Vocals
Eliss Bass: Lead guitar
Forrest Wamstad-Evans: Bass
Ghostt Snyder: Drums and Secondary vocals

Rejected Youth Records is very pleased to have Accidentology join us on this compilation which will be released on Saturday August 31st in Omaha Nebraska at the CD Release Party (more details to be announced).

Wow, what a night😳 The ANTHEMS FROM THE HEARTLAND CD Release Party was all fun, no drama!

Thrash Panda Media was able to capture some of the intensity and energy that all the bands brought to the stage; every band KILLED it and gave 100%. Also, a huge thanks to The B. Bar for being such an amazing venue and hosting SIX bands in one night!!

Also, thank you to everyone who made it out and supported the united efforts of Hairline Fracture, The Bricks, 3 Finger Betty, Blowing Chunks, The D-Fibs, River City Rejects, & Top-Notch Defective 🔥

Each band has a stack of their compilation CD available at shows, online, or in person so make sure grab a copy before they’re all gone!
