One hour from Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges, was a welcomed long weekend wind down and a comfortable day trip that we didn't want to end. Try the Pinot Gris and Lindenderry Shiraz from the underground Cellar Door.

Tonight's classic Italian feature is hailed as an institution, delighting customers since the 90's. Dine on authentic Italian fare, served with sophistication at South Yarra's . 🇮🇹 There's an old world charm that resonates amongst diners and it doesn't take much for the cosy atmosphere to start buzzing. A local's favourite and a real gem at the top of Toorak Road.

Celebrating 7 years married to my better half . I left my mobile on the kitchen table and tasked Jane to take a couple of lunch pics at to mark the occasion. This is what she sent to me. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ P.s this is the Mixed Grill + Tiramisu. Enjoyed with some fun magnums of Barolo and Burgundy, served via coravin, by the glass.

Okay so there's American-style BBQ and then there's a whole other world out there, each culture mastering their own practices and flavours. At flame and smoke dance around countless proteins and spices inspired by cuisine from all over the globe. The passionate and knowledgeable team live and breathe BBQ, so much so that after you are finished dining, you can purchase ingredients and equipment to make the dishes at home. We enjoyed a real teachable moment, and left knowing more about bbq than before. Check them out on the Brunswick end of Lygon Street.

The lives on and it is glorious. 🥪🥪 It's been a while since we got our fix at A1 Canteen in Sydney back in the day. We're happy to report that A1 lives on at and this trianglar sliced heavenly loaf is not only a stomach-filler, but it's also a well thought out combination of Italian cheeses, salad and deli slices. One for sandwich aficionados and hungry stomach alike!

Is this Geelong's best kept secret? 🖤🤫Forget the Euro passport stamp, take me back to for copious amounts of seafood, pasta and good times! The small 20-seater ristorante is tucked in between an exciting line up of Geelong dining establishments and took me back to simplistic Italy dining where the service is cheery and the produce is fresh. Oh and it wouldn't be an Osteria without a vibrant line up of Italian wines to experience. We'll be thinking about this one until our next visit! 😘👌🇮🇹

We resurfaced for a much needed weekend outing after a stressful couple of weeks. was a welcomed sight after officially selling the house. Some delicious dishes on offer at a good price point. The turkish beef dumplings, fremantle octopus and semolina kibbeh spiced lamb 'meat pie' dishes were standouts. There's even chicken on the dessert menu for those who want to eat like an Istanbul Ottoman Sultan. Arrive with an empty stomach!

What a crackin' day for this spiced date cake or as I like to call it at 2pm, 'Day Cake'. Also ordered chopped salad, fries and plenty of protein so that we could get through a long afternoon session at . The sports bar aka mobile phone streaming Kayo was also set up against the juices and coffees. Hope your Sunday was equally as exciting!

Just up the road from Highpoint, has set up shop next to Starbucks and I'm not sure which store is busier at the moment. Open under 3 months and its already a stamping ground in the inner West! Is it bad that I kicked off with the Pistachio and halva Loukoumades before demolishing the grilled meats? Oops! . Worth checking out whether you live close or are passing through the area. Congrats Team !

HOW have I not had EKMEK before?!?!?! I love discovering new treats after visiting the same venue for years. Ekmek Kataifi is my new favourite cake from . Without my weekend-only Loukoumades fix, I ventured deep into the dessert cabinet to find a hidden gem that I had yet to devour. Enter Ekmek, syrupy shredded pastry, glorious custard, whipped cream, topped with nuts, cinnamon and other delicious ingredients no doubt. I can't stop thinking about

Our second visit to a 2022 favourite, .sorrento and we felt absolutely at home, which no doubt is just the way intended the restaurant to feel. The set menu is well rehearsed, executed and presented cleanly with style. On a day when the light gleams through the windows and the cocktails are flowing, you'll literally spend hours lapping up the beautiful setting. Can't wait for the hotel to open in a few months and to be able to roll up into a room after a hearty session. Great for a Melbourne day trip destination.

It's so ❄️ outside and this wrap-up from the wine dinner pretty much sums up the ideal bistro setting. Duck, vol-au-vent, quality wines by Yarra Valley's and great company. All I need is a fireplace and I'd be ready to curl up and call it a night!

How about this for an awesome CBD combo. 's new Flinder's Lane venue, followed by a night out at the new 90's inspired musical , conveniently located close by. Both will get your body dancing from your tastebuds through to the rest of your body. It starts with those tropical cocktails, continues with exciting seafood dishes packed full of flavour and continues through to meatier options and good times all round, until your singing voice is well and truly warmed up and ready to belt out those 90's tunes. Smashing Sundaes, and the weekend hasn't even begun. is the kind of venue where you want to eat everything on the menu, you'll feel if you don't and so you need to book a few trips in. The power goes out just as we received a life-saving dinner delivery from . Or should I say gut-saving! Emmy is passionate about cooking fresh and organic, locally produced seasonal dishes. Talk about mid-week pick me up. The carrot pad thai was EVERYTHING! All of her dishes are gluten-free, exciting and guilt-free in my book. 🥕⚡️Check out her account for an exciting dinner at home this winter. Oh and of course I had to crack open a quality Pinot Noir to match.

has reopened its doors after 3 long years, for some seriously good times. All the dishes hit the mark (and then some)! Fresh, full of flavour, exciting takes on comfort pub classics all round. Favourites included the Louisiana style hot wings and the gnocchi but I can't stop staring at the mango & vanilla bean panna cotta w/ coconut granola. Congrats and team. Another winner! ✌️💯🤩👏

Happy 1st Mother's Day to my beautiful wife and adoring mum 💕 . What an amazing year it has been for our family filled with love. This Mother's Day special dessert from says it all. You're our pearl, one in a zillion. Can confirm that the quality family-friendly menu at is super delicious and the sums up the endearing nature of Yarra Valley locals, the heartbeat of the region. There's everything to love about this venue and another Cellar door visit capped off a special day out for the fam. Stories to come shortly, now that the demolition has been completed. 💙🙌

Lûmé relaunched. has new talent at its helm, Executive Chef . We were invited to an intimate evening to relaunch the famed venue and experince the new Tasting Menu... well enjoyed it on our behalf while we attended to an 8 month old post injections. How to smash Tandoori Chicken in the airfryer. Marinate your chicken using the @thespicetailor.austl Tandoori Marinate Kit. 🍗🌶Place into the airfryer breast-side down for 50mins at 180⁰C, flip and cook for a further 20mins or so (depending on the size of your chook). LIFT OFF! 🍕🚀💥 Taking a deep dive into Easter with this new @remys_nfa deep dish pizza spectacular. When I've eaten this in the States, I always go in starving thinking that I can smash a whole pie.
